About this property

The Bothy @ Fernwood.eco with private sauna

Located at the edge of the woodland at Fernwood, the Bothy is a beautifully crafted space that proves just how much can be achieved within a modest footprint. Thoughtful architecture and clever design come together to create a calm, contemporary retreat that feels both generous and deeply connected to its surroundings.

Inside, polished concrete floors and underfloor heating provide a quiet sense of comfort, while the birch plywood interiors conceal a series of subtle, well-considered details that reveal themselves over time. It is a space designed to be lived in slowly, where simplicity and quality take centre stage.

Step outside and you are immersed in Fernwood itself. Your private garden offers a sheltered spot for morning coffee or an evening drink, while beyond it lies 150 acres of woodland, water and wild bogland to explore. Wander the paths, take a dip, or make your way to the lakeside sauna and plunge pool for a restorative reset.

The Bothy invites you to switch pace. Open the doors and let the outside in, or close the world out entirely. In summer it is light-filled and open, in winter it becomes a warm, cocooned hideaway with the stove lit and the landscape shifting quietly beyond the glass.

This is not about space, it is about how space makes you feel.
