Runaway toilet

The overall experience was very nice and relaxing. Although the toilet ran continuously which was annoying but fixable. So FYI... you might want fix the toilet before the next guests arrive.

A Tranquil Getaway!

City On A Hill At Spring Creek has multiple cabins lining the creek. Each cabin offers a view of the creek and surrounding land. There are critters around to enjoy watching and a private hot tub on each porch. While the cabins are next to one another, it is quiet and private. We stayed at Mary's Mansion. The accommodations were great for a couple. The kitchenette with full sized fridge was convenient, and included a microwave, Keurig, and a small oven. The unit even included a washer and dryer. We were thrilled that the bed was king-sized and it was super comfortable! There is wi-fi and cable TV with a single person sitting area. The location was just about 15 minutes outside of town. Overall, it was a wonderful, peaceful getaway! Some things that may be noteworthy: - The wall to the bathroom does not connect at the ceiling (for purposes of air circulation from the A/C), so there is not full privacy from sound or odors. - The window coverings in the bathroom and kitchen are translucent, so morning light will flood in (for light sleepers). - The A/C unit has an LED light that is extremely bright and right next to the bed (for light sleepers). - The hot tub does not get hot, only warm.

I cannot begin to tell you what an incredible experience my husband and I had at City On A Hill. From the location, to the cottage itself, it was wonderful. And the view, breathtaking! A must see!

Loved our stay!

What a great place to relax and enjoy the scenery but still close to town for shopping and dining. Loved being creekside with a porch and hot tub! Will be back.

Nice quiet cottage

Nice little cabin that is a little way out of the way. We liked that because we wanted seclusion. And the drive to and from is beautiful. The only thing to be aware of is that the bathroom wall doesn't go all the way to the ceiling. It stops about 3 feet short, so it's more of a partition. So if you like a lot of bathroom privacy, you might consider that. It's like an amphitheater almost. It is, however, a very large bathroom and the overall cabin was very nice. The hot tub was fun too.

Great Stay

We stayed for a long weekend, and this was perfect. It's a bit out of town as the listing says, and that was just what we were looking for. Nice cabin, creek out back. Great back porch to sit and have your morning coffee. Very quiet and and relaxing. The property manager/owner is awesome. Very responsive and easy to work with.

Fredericksburg stay for our 34th anniversary

Cute cabin very clean. We actually stayed in the cabin named The Vineyard. Had a great view every morning of the wildlife heading down to the creek for their morning coffee. Deer, rabbits and a cute porch kitty who loved our sausage and bacon. Very close to downtown Fredericksburg. While there check out the bat cave. Wished we would have gone later in the evening for the show but it was still interesting. I would recommend this area for your stay. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Pure relaxation.

Very cute - as pictured!

Cabin is as cute as pictured. Perfect for a romantic getaway. Very quiet, remote, and with great views of the surrounding hills and countryside. Local goats hang out and graze up and down the road. The hot tub is also a nice feature. It's about a 10-minute drive into Fredricksburg. Wish we could have stayed here for more than one night!

Comfortable cabin with amazing perks!

I simply adored The Vineyard Cabin! It was everything I hoped for and more! This little beauty has a washer and dryer as well as all the fabulous amenities such as a hot tub. The thoughtful details of fruit, coffee, shampoo, conditioner, and bath soap were greatly appreciated! I enjoyed meeting the sweet owner (who even came over to help me out with the T.V.). My only regret is that I was only able to stay for one night. I needed one last day, and the owner was kind enough to accommodate at the last minute!!! On top of everything else, the back porch had the most amazing view of Sprong Creek which is grazed by gorgeous white sheep! It was relaxing to watch them to the background of the tricking creek! I definitely recommend making the drive to this wonderful oasis!!!
