Quaint Cottage in the heart of Flanders

Very interesting cottage with all the facilities we needed and a beautiful garden. Everyone slept well. The upstairs was very quirky and we loved that it had slopey floors. It was a great base for visiting the area. Ronse is a lovely town too. Thank you so much for your hospitality. We felt very welcome!! We would stay again!

Perfect place to relax

My husband and I stayed here for several days while sightseeing in the neighborhood. Communication with the host for check in was great, and I really appreciated the good local information she provided as well. The house is very comfortable, in a great location, and has a wonderful backyard that we used for eating our meals and relaxing in the evenings. The whole stay what exactly what we needed and the house and host were perfect. We would absolutely stay again if we come back to the area.

The Heart of Flanders

If you love to cycle- this location cannot be beat! Helene is a lovely host and I had such a great experience. The Kruisberg, Taaienberg, Kwaremont, Paterberg and Koppenberg- the Cobble classic climbs are just a short ride away!

Charming, quirky, spacious cottage in an excellent location.

La Quitapenas was exactly as depicted and described, on a quaint cobbled street with a great view over Ronse. Although we visited in early April, the garden space would be delightful in summer. Felt at home very quickly, lovely comfortable and large beds, an amusing sloping floor on the top floor. Great bathroom. There is an open fire in the lounge and a large log burner in the reception room, neither of which we used as it was warm enough without them, although they were well stocked with kindling and logs. The location was ideal, close enough to town for provisions, but very quiet. Also ideally placed for some excellent, challenging cycling; some of the famous climbs of the Ronde Van Vlaanderen (Tour of Flanders) are close by - but be prepared for some work to reach them first! A short walk from the cottage are some lovely woods and hiking routes and the fabulous Hotond Cafe - a great spot for watching the sunset. We had a lovely 4 night stay and were sad to leave. The owners live next door and are very welcoming and friendly, with plenty of tips for places to visit. Highly recommended!

Heerlijk verblijf met fijne gastheer en -vrouw. Veel ruimtes met terras en lekkere tuin. Bijzonder goede wandelmogelijkheden vanuit het huisje. Wie weet komen we nog wel een keer!

Even stilstaan

La Quitapenas doet je stilstaan. Dit verblijft straalt onthaasten uit. Het doet je ook nieuwe dingen ontdekken in het huis en de omgeving.

Dit is een unieke locatie. Met een sprong in de tijd. Binnen in het huisje kan je echt op ontdekkingsreis gaan. Er staat immens veel gerief. Gelukkig ook aangevuld met wat hedendaagse toestellen zoals een warmte pomp. Buiten is het super gezellig vertoeven. De hangmat is zalig. Wel zien dat de tak waar die aanhangt niet lang meer houden. De omgeving is heel leuk natuurlijk. De Vlaamse Ardennen met heel veel wandel mogelijkheden. Ook fietsen hoort hier bij, want de ronde passeert hier super dicht bij. De host is super vriendelijk en heel hulpvaardig.

Casa super acogedora

Casa acogedora y con encanto en una zona muy tranquila. Está muy bien equipada, las camas son cómodas y los propietarios, Helene y Eric, muy agradables y atentos. La zona es preciosa, con muchas actividades para hacer, especialmente ir en bici o caminar, pero también hay pequeños museos locales muy interesantes y mercados. Desde aquí visitamos Bruselas, Brujas y Waterloo, entre otros. ¡Muy recomendable!
