Wagtail Lodge Boutique Country House B&B, Stonehaven

Set in the countryside about 1 mile from the cliff-top village of Catterline, making it an ideal base for exploring nearby Dunnotar Castle, Stonehaven and the historic Kincardineshire coast line. The rooms in our family home are each decorated with unique style to help you relax in comfort.

The space
We offer a large and regular double bedrooms furnished with a king size one of the rooms and a double bed size the second one. Both with our unique touches and stylish en-suite. A leisurely breakfast can be enjoyed overlooking the garden while tucking into our Wagtail Special.

Perfect spot

Gordon and Mercedes’ are gracious hosts who live just minutes from Dunnottar Castle, a natural preserve for cliff swallows and herring gulls, and a fabulous place to eat at the Creel Inn. Our stay was a respite when we were tired of roaming the countryside. Highly recommend-

Excellent Hosts, Beautiful Space

I can’t really say enough about Gord and Mercedes and this beautiful property! The property is very close to Stonehaven and Dunnottar Castle. Both destinations are less than 8 minutes along the scenic A92. In the opposite direction, equally close, are a couple of quaint fishing villages and old Kinneff church worth checking out. Gord is exceptionally knowledgeable, not only about this region, but Scotland in general and will have fantastic travel enriching ideas. The breakfast was exceptional! And the room spotless! Thank you both for a wonderful stay.
