New - Cottage next to sandy beach

Perfect for families or groups of friends, Palm Villa is a tall, traditional 3 bedroom house, recently refurbished to a modern standard. A spacious open plan kitchen, dining and living area makes for an ideal socialising space. Two of the bedrooms are ensuite, and a third bathroom is located right next to the other bedroom.

A hop, skip and a jump from the sandy shore of Port Erin beach, the property boasts ample storage for paddleboards, kayaks and fishing gear making it an ideal spot to take advantage of life on the water! Situated in the south of the Island, Port Erin is a popular spot for locals and visitors alike. A nice selection of bars and restaurants surround Port Erin and it's neighboring village of Port St Mary. Combine this with a variety of independent shops, cafe's and a local supermarket, you have everything you could need on your doorstep.

Walkers really are spoilt for choice with the Island's coastal footpath, the 'Raad ny Foillan' ('Way of the Gull') passing just a few metres from Palm Villa. From Port Erin, take a boat trip to the Calf of Man, a small island off the south west coast which is a designated nature reserve often bustling with an aray of sea birds and marine life. For the adventure seekers, kids and big kids amonst us, it is also possible to spend your days sailing, sea kayaking, diving and paddleboarding with one of the various activity providers.

Lounge area: Two sofas and a chair providing ample seating for 6 and a smart TV.

Bedroom 1: Ground Floor - Kingsize bed which can be split into singles if preferred, bedside cabinets, chest of drawers, wardrobe
Ensuite: Containing shower, wash hand basin and WC

Bedroom 2: 1st Floor - Twin beds, bedside cabinets, wardrobe with double drawer space.

Bathroom: Containing shower, wash hand basin and WC. Washing machine and tumble dryer also within this room.

Bedroom 3: 2nd Floor - Double bed, bedside cabinets, wardrobe.
Ensuite: Containing shower, wash hand basin and WC

Outside: Comfortable wooden chairs to enjoy morning coffee in the sunshine or an evening G&T overlooking a stream and bridge that leads down to the beach. Also tables and chairs available for outside dining.

External storage: Can be used for storing bikes, paddleboards, fishing gear etc...

I bought Palm Villa in 2019 and completely renovated it with tourism in mind. We moved the kitchen to the third floor to follow the light, and knocked down some walls to make the area large and open plan, perfect for entertaining and for families to visit.

The master bedroom then went on the ground floor for convenience and we built a beautiful en-suite bathroom.

We put the twin bedroom on the next floor next to the family bathroom, and created a gorgeous double bedroom on the top floor adding an en-suite.

We thoroughly enjoyed creating Palm Villa, especially the calming tones perfect for a beach cottage. Passionate about sustainability we recycled the furniture supporting local Hospice, and turned these pre-loved pieces into gorgeous functional items around the house.

We have two Port Erin holiday cottages, choosing this destination for our tourism business since it is the best holiday resort on the Island.

Why they chose this property

Chosen for location then turning it onto tourist accommodation, we loved the proximity to the beach, less than a one minute walk. So will you.

It is modern, completely renovated in 2019 and opened for tourism in 2020. Sadly Covid hit straight away so our rating has not yet been acquired due assessors being unable to visit the Island.
