We absolutely loved our stay at Wellstone cottages. Dan and Les were so welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The children particularly loved feeding the animals with Les in the mornings and the hot tub! The coach house was absolutely idyllic. Probably the best space we’ve ever stayed in, with a lovely welcome pack on our arrival. My only area of improvement would be that, having a young toddler, it would have been good for the garden to have been enclosed as he very much enjoyed running off towards the alpacas and river. Who can blame him :-). Thank you Dan and Les for such a wonderful getaway. We will most definitely book again in the future.
This property gave us everything for building wonderful family memories. A hamper awaited us on the kitchen table which was a lovely welcome. The Coach House provided us with the means for our family gathering of twelve to be all together. The grounds are peaceful, animals amazing and super walks no need to jump in a car. Dan and Lesley our hosts were the best. Thanks for a great visit.
The house is spacious & well equipped. The garden was great for our grandchildren to explore in safety.
The hosts went out of their way to make sure the children had a good time. Nothing was too much trouble.
Highly recommend.

Why they chose this property
The site is idyllic in everyway. No busy roads nearby, no pollution, scenically beautiful, with only the sounds of nature to sooth the senses. Perfect for family holidays and long weekend breaks near the coast.
With 2 hot tubs for guest use as the sun goes down and the stars come out, the sense of calm and wellbeing experienced by holiday makers here at Wellstone has resulted in returning guests year after year.
The cottages promise pretty gardens brimming with perennials and are sited by a large lawned area, with woodland paths between mature trees and flowering shrubs, attractive animal enclosures to include alpacas, pygmy goats, geese ducks and hens and elevated terraces and sun gardens.
A woodland walk on a broad, well laid path (formerly a railway line) alongside the river provides a lovely walk to enjoy the grounds eventually leading to the yurts and riverside campsite.
The cottages are as follows:
The Coach House, sleeps 12 in 5 bedrooms and offers 2 bathrooms. Coach House is a beautifully converted Welsh cow barn with fabulous stonework and a spacious interior for entertaining.
Honeysuckle cottage sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms and offers a good sized comfortable open plan living room.
Jasmine Cottage, a lovely period house that sleeps 6 people in 3 bedrooms.
Ivy Cottage, a private detached 1 bedroom holiday let complete with kitchen/diner, conservatory and private hot tub.
In addition, in the lower grounds of the estate we have 2 yurts each sleeping 4 people with a private kitchen and shared use of the shower and toilet block.
