Beach Life is Good!!

We want to share our beautiful beach home with you! Located in the residential Northend of Virginia Beach, you can enjoy a week at the beach without the crowds of the touristy hotel-filled oceanfront!

The beach is just across Atlantic Avenue and easy to get to. Pack up the Roleez cart with your goodies, walk about a block and cross over a dune with an easy-access walkway! At the top of the dune, stop for a second, close your eyes, smell the salty air, feel the warmth of the sun and hear the waves crashing to shore. Let the stress blow away with the warm ocean breeze! After a hard day at the beach, come home and relax even more. Sit around the pool! Play ping pong, billiards, cornhole, a board game. Read a book. Take a nap. Fix yourself a cocktail. Grill up some dinner. Take more deep breaths! You'll never be bored with relaxing things to do.
And if you do decide to take on the action-packed fun the boardwalk has to offer, it's a 5 minute car ride or a 15 minute leisurely bike ride to get there.
With its many restaurants, venues, amusements (galore), retail shops, etc., you'll find the nightlife (and day life) of Virginia Beach fun-filled and entertaining!
Then, you just make your way back to the peace and quiet of 215 70th Street!

Please put all dirty dishes in dishwasher and start the cleaning cycle. Food etc. may be left in fridge or freezer. Bag all rubbish and put in the trash cans. Close and lock all windows and doors.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Fantastic vacation house

This was a perfect beach vacation house for our family! We had two adults and 4 adult children. There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out. The pool table and swimming pool were a big hit. The house was very clean and stocked with what we needed. The beach cart made the short walk to the beach even easier. It was a short drive to stores and restaurants. The owner was quick to respond and we had everything needed to enjoy a week of family time.

Family Celebration

This property is perfect for large families to relax ,enjoy all the amenities that Maria offers in her beautiful home. All the rooms are beautifully appointed and the kitchen is well stocked with whatever appliance you may need. Maria has also supplied many options for fun activities and the location is great (2 blocks from the beach)with ample parking. We had a wonderful time and would love to return.

Loved it!

The house exceeded our expectations. Every floor was really nice. There were several convenient features, like an ice machine, extra sinks, etc. The outdoor spaces were great! The beach was close by and very nice (uncrowded). Our Labrador had lots of friends to play with on the beach. Thank you, we hope to return.

Great beach stay!

Had a wonderful stay. House was exactly as described, spotless, and beautifully appointed. Loved the pool and all the outdoor seating. Just a quick walk to a very clean and quiet beach (note you do have to cross a busy street). Far enough away from the downtown area to be peaceful but quick enough to get there to enjoy the boardwalk. Lots of little touches in the house to make it kid/teen friendly like the music system, games, etc. having the second washer/dryer was genius. host was super responsive to questions. Even our pup had a blast!

Very well appointed house. Ample size for 10 or more though we were only 3. Great kitchen, nice furniture throughout. Pool was a nice size for the 3 of us. All very clean. Attention to every last detail

The owners went through great length to make this house feel like home and more! There are so many spaces to gather together or just catch some quiet time and each one was well thought out and designed to bring relaxation and serenity. The location is a few blocks from an entrance to First Landing State Park. It's an easy walk to hike, bike, or enjoy the beach by the bay. The oceanfront is also one short block and easy to travel with the beach buggy that is provided. We all wish we had another week to stay!

Family vacation

The place is exactly as it looks in the pictures. It was beautiful and clean and close to the ocean. Our favorite part was the pool of course. Everything was within driving distance and not far away. The host was very responsive anytime we had a question. One suggestion I would make is with the sound system, it’s a great system but for the technically challenged I would suggest a guide at the house that gives directions for it, other then that the place was amazing and I hope to stay there again I’m the future.

Beautiful home

This is a well-decorated home which does not feel like a typical beach house. The pool is wonderful and really allows you to extend your day after time on the beach. The home is on a very quiet street which worked well for my three girls and myself. It may not be a great fit for a larger, louder family as the neighbors are very watchful (and not all are friendly). This property may be best for a well-behaved group of older adults. Very pretty house!

Wonderful Property / Splendid Spaces

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this property. Although the weather wouldn't cooperate for a portion of this week, it didn't prevent us from having a great time in the saltwater pool. The accommodations were absolutely splendid. We had more than enough space to spread out for down time and great spaces (main floor kitchen, dining, sitting area or the basement TV, billiards, bar area) to enjoy each other's company. The kitchen hits the mark in size, well-appointed appliances, and all the "necessities" to cook any meal for a large family. The use of the beach wheelbarrow definitely came in handy and was greatly appreciated. I highly recommend this property for a family vacation and look forward to booking this location again for our next Virginia Beach vacation.

We liked the house and the location but the beds were unsat in both the master and 1st floor room with the queen bed. The ice maker was detracted from our sleep at night because of the noise!

Vacation Perfection

I needed a place to get away, relax and enjoy the beach. The location is perfect--one block to the beach in a lovely neighborhood with friendly people. It's about 30 mins walking to the major hotels but a quick 5 min drive (hotels and boardwalk). The house has it all! It's beautiful and well appointed with every amenity you could want. The pool is a huge plus! It was my morning swim and afternoon relaxation. If you bring your dog, the back yard is fenced so you don't have to worry about them wandering off. There is a nearby feeder road where everyone walks, jogs, rides their bikes and walks their dogs. Edgar Cayce spa and restaurant (Graze) are 2 blocks away; highly recommend their services and delicious food. The owners were also amazing; very quick in responding to any questions that I had. I hope to return next year for another getaway! I actually hated to leave!!!

My husband owned this property before we were married and in 2004 we tore down the old beach cottage and built our forever home. But as is often the case in life things change! In 2017, after raising our kids there, we decided to downsize and move across town. Our children, who are 10 and 12 were not thrilled, but it was a new adventure and we decided we just couldn't bring ourselves to sell our "forever" home. So we decided to join the VRBO family of homes.

Why they chose this property

Our close proximity to the Atlantic Ocean and being a part of the prestigious "North End" provided us with a safe family neighborhood. The feeder road, which parallels Atlantic Avenue, provides a great place to walk or teach a little one to ride a bike. It connects the neighborhoods together and gives our community that family feeling.

What makes this property unique

This home has been our life for the last 12-13 years and my husband and have loved living here so much that we wanted to share it with more families. We actually made our decision to do so while sitting on the second floor deck listening to the waves crashing one evening while sipping a nice glass of wine. It was a tough decision, but we felt it was the right one. We hope that given all the custom features we have built into the house, your stay is a memorable one. Truly, if my husband thought about it during the construction, he installed it! We have shared a fabulous life in this home together, there are only good vibes in "Summer Breeze"!
