The holiday home is located at the top of the Kårup Hills in the UNESCO Odsherred Geopark, where the landscape was shaped by the Ice Age. Here you’ll find striking hills, forests, beaches, Bronze Age burial mounds, beautiful hiking trails, and awesome mountain bike trails—all right outside your door.
The holiday home is located on a quiet gravel road on the outskirts of a larger holiday home community. It’s peaceful here, and you can enjoy birdsong from the garden, relax on the patio, or play badminton and other outdoor games. In the garden, you’ll also find a lovely outdoor bath with cold and hot water (closed during the winter months). The garden is fenced in, so you don’t have to worry about the youngest children wandering off.
The house consists of a main house with three bedrooms, a bathroom, and a kitchen-dining area, as well as a large, bright annex with three single beds. The main house and the annex are connected via the terrace, which is covered. There’s plenty of room to both lounge on the outdoor sofa and enjoy dinner at the long table, and when the sun goes down, it’s just a few hundred metres to the most beautiful sunset view… perhaps with a glass of rosé in hand.
In the town of Ordrup, 1.5 km from the holiday home, you’ll find ice cream shops, cafés, mini-golf, and a well-stocked supermarket. A 4-km drive takes you to a larger supermarket, and a 10-minute drive away is Havnsø, from where you can take the ferry to Nekselø or Sejrø. Holbæk, a larger provincial town with many great shops, cafés, and shopping options, is 25 minutes away. And if you’re in the mood for a day in the big city, it’s just under an hour by car to Copenhagen or 40 minutes to Odden Ferry Terminal, from where you can take the ferry to Aarhus and Ebeltoft. The charming summer towns of Nykøbing Sjælland and Rørvig are also just half an hour away.
If you’re into gourmet dining, you’ll find delicious restaurants like Dragsholm Castle, Lillero, and Lille B less than 10 minutes away by car; in Nykøbing Sjælland, you’ll find Restaurant Mota; and just a 5-minute drive away, you can go on a vineyard walk and enjoy wine tasting at Vejrhøj Vin.
So whether you’re looking for peace and nature, an active holiday, shopping, or fine dining, you’ll find it all here, and the many beautiful and varied beaches are just 2.5 km from the holiday home. It’s truly lovely here.
