Hen Cottage is charming and Natasha & John are wonderful hosts. The setting is idyllic, you are surrounded by beautiful countryside yet close to Lincoln and all its history. We enjoyed watching the chickens out the kitchen window and their delicious eggs for breakfast, walking around bluebell wood, the orchard and visiting the small church. Natasha’s homemade plum loaf was so thoughtful as was the rest of the welcome package. My husband particularly enjoyed the cold beer, sitting on the patio, watching the sun go down. We had a lovely time and hope to return one day as our stay went far too quick.
A relaxing, well-equipped, cute ‘hideaway’. Hosts Natasha and John (who live in the adjoining farmhouse) could not have been more kind and welcoming although they were in no way intrusive. Comfortable bed! And we loved the big wardrobe which we were able to stow all our cases and bags in, out of sight and out of the way. A possible downside for some is that internet access at this location is (or certainly was when we visited) slow and intermittent — obviously not the fault of the hosts, but can be a little frustrating!

Dear Anne
We are delighted to hear you enjoyed your stay at Hen Cottage. As we are in the countryside the internet speed can be an issue but a reset often helps so we encourage our guests to tell us if there are any problems so we can fix them.
We hope to see you again at Hen Cottage.
Kind Regards,
John and Natasha
We stayed here for 4 nights - very much on a whim. Fancied a trip up to Lincoln and this cottage seemed ideal. It was more than ideal. Really nice cottage - in immaculate order. Really well equipped, with everything looking new. Well furnished, and a really comfortable bed. John and Natasha (our hosts) were very friendly. They had left a basket of goodies - which was really welcome - including a lovely plum loaf and half a dozen of the best eggs I have ever had from the many chickens that roam the gardens. The property is well located - about 20 mins drive East of Lincoln. There are a lot of nearby footpaths too. We loved our stay and would very much like to stay here again. A wonderful place to stay.
If you want a quiet stay 15 minutes from Lincoln, Hen Cottage is perfect. Hosts Natasha and John are amazing. Their extra touches in a large cottage including their complimentary welcome basket with homegrown eggs, Lincolnshire fruit cake, teas and coffee and access to their fruit orchards, muchly appreciated. A very special place to relax and spend a few days.
