Lovely place to stay & right in the heart of Kilrush. Apartment is well furnished with up to date equipment. Big thanks for the treats provided for my wife who had a birthday during our stay.

The host met us when we arrived to show us how to enter the property, as it is very secure. They had a nice welcome basket with some snacks along with milk, OJ & butter in the fridge, which was appreciated as we had a long journey to get there. The place was clean, very modern & comfortable. The only one downfall, was if the windows were open, it was very loud outside as you are across the street from a grocery store, but it was very convenient. Overall, I would recommend this property to friends and family or anybody who is traveling abroad

This is a nicely renovated and well-kept apartment right in the center of town. It was super convenient having the supermarket directly across the street, and everything in town was within easy walking distance. The space was comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Would definitely recommend!

Ideal apartment in Kilrush

Secure, well located place to stay. Met by one of the owners who explained everything we needed to know and was very helpful. Flat very well furnished with lovely personal touches. Welcome basket and treats in fridge an excellent idea and much appreciated. Supermarket close by for supplies.

Great apartment in a great location. Met by Tristan & Scott, Tristan explained everything thoroughly. Free parking and a supermarket right outside plus a welcome pack of drinks and snacks.lovely kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms and a great TV to relax in the evenings. Great for my elderly mother with the lift access to the first floor apartment. useful communication throughout our stay. Actually looked forward to returning to the apartment after being out all day. Would highly recommend and definitely would stay again.

A perfect stay in Kilrush

The apartment is local centered in Kilrush, a supermarket is directly next door and you can find easily a parking place in front of the house. To check in was very easy and uncomplicated. A welcome basket with some sweets, drinks in the fridge and coffee brings us a warm welcome. The size of the apartment is perfect for a family with 2 kids (our kids love the loft bed), it has generous proportions. You can find everything that you need in the aparment. It was the perfect stay for us in Kilrush to do some trips in North.

Home from Home

Excellent holiday stay at Hectors House. Met by Scott on arrival who showed us around the property and explained the security features, how to use the appliances etc. they also left a small welcome pack of bread, milk etc., which was very much appreciated. Apartment has everything you could want for a self catering stay and was great to come back to at the end of each day. We were always able to park right outside as well which was helpful. The bed in the master bedroom is the best I’ve every slept in. Showers were hot, living area and tv great to relax in front of in the evening. Would recommend this place and would stay here again.

Scott met us at 1 on day of our arrival and he explained everything to us regarding the keys tv, heating and hot water. There was milk bread butter and also a welcome pack left with lots of ‘goodies’ which was a really nice gesture and much appreciated. The apartment is on first floor and easily accessible by lift for my husband who is disabled. It is also next door to the supermarket ,which has everything you require, and right opposite the beautiful marina . It is only a short walk into town and also ample parking . We would recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Kilrush and our hosts were excellent and always replied promptly to messages .

A high quality apartment

Hector's House is an excellent two bedroom apartment in Kilrush. It's clean, has comfy beds, a great living room, lots of hot water, a brilliant kitchen and a super television. The wifi is brilliant. We loved everything about this place. One tiny niggle - on the day we left we found some board games in a drawer in the hall! If we had known about these earlier, we would have used them! Definitely worth adding some information to the house information booklet (which is wittily written by the way), or labelling the drawer. A second pair of keys would have been very useful too. We didn't ask for one, so I don't know whether Scott/Tristan would have supplied. Thanks for a great stay.

Always something

Great apartment, great location. Everything went as planned, but it is the little things, you know. Lack of manuals for the dishwasher and washer/dryer. Weak instructions for the vents in the windows. Missing some kitchen tools: whisk, ladle, knife sharpener. Like the cutting board and layout of the apartment, the security outside of the apartment itself is mostly non functional. Overall impression: a good place to stay but not perfect.

Thank you for your feedback. We have put a whisk, and ladle into the kitchen. All manuals for appliances are located in the cupboard above the oven (as stated in the guest handbook) We have looked at security outside the apartment - although we are not sure what improvements we can suggest as Kilrush is a fairly sleepy town on the West Coast of Ireland and has an extremely low crime rate - which is why we like it so much!
