Now is the time to plan your spring and summer trips to Lake Tahoe-beautiful place to visit every season. If you don't want to deal with the crowds book midweek, discounts are in place.

The Peace of Heaven home has been lovingly set up as a peaceful and relaxing Tahoe Getaway. As you enter the front door you can tell the owner has created this space with comfort and relaxation in mind. The living room features a wood burning fireplace, comfortable couches and a flat screen TV and DVD player.
The living room window has a view of the forest service parcel across the street. The dining room table seats 6 and there are 3 bar stools at the kitchen counter. There is a slider off the dining room that accesses the patio and the large, fenced backyard. The kitchen has a new electric stove, granite counters, dual sinks and a microwave. All bedrooms are conveniently located down the hallway. There is a full bath off the hallway, the second bath is off the primary bedroom.
The first bedroom has a queen bed, the second bedroom has a queen bed and a bath with shower stall, and the third bedroom also has a queen bed.

This home conveniently located off of Pioneer Trail, and is a short drive to all of South Lake Tahoe's amenities: Heavenly Ski Resort is 3.6 miles away; Ski Run Marina/Shops/Dining 3.0 miles away; Sierra At Tahoe is 15 miles away. Make the Peace of Heaven your home base for exploring Tahoe's beaches, trails, restaurants and new Brew pubs popping up all over town.
The 2 bedroom cabin next door is for rent also-perfect if two families are coming to Tahoe together.

This home does not have air conditioning.

cute home with big backyard

the washer and dryer have no detergent and make super loud noises when in use, also the main bedroom bathroom shower continues to leak after use causing dripping noises throughout the night but other than that it was a very nice property with a big backyard and comfy rooms.

No exhaust fans in bathrooms and no hood above kitchen range. Driveway is very steep, so be careful; very slippery from the snow in winter, and from the pine needles in summer.

Clean and Comfortable Home

The home is located within easy reach of beaches, dining, breweries and grocery shopping. It is well equipped with plenty of couches and seating. The bedrooms are an adequate size and the beds are comfortable.

We enjoyed it but had to contact the property manager for a few things - there was no patio furniture or BBQ on the patio. Plus, we had problems with mice! That was not a very comfortable feeling. We were provided mouse traps and were busy every night setting the traps with p-nut butter. Only caught one mouse outside. The mice ate some of our food and our exert roll of t.p.! Terrible!

Summer 2021

Lovely home, well set up. The only draw back was that Tahoe was very warm and, while 2 fans were a lifesaver, it would have been nicer to have one for each bedroom. Without a fan, sleeping was a little bit of a challenge, but not impossible! I would definitely recommend this rental.

Nice, Quiet Home

This was a nice home and we made it work for our group. PROS Location - It was in a quiet neighborhood The property manager was attentive Comfortable beds CONS The ad was described as having a sofa bed, but there was no sofa bed. The property manager brought an air mattress to accommodate, but it didn't seem like enough. We expected a bed. There was no hot water on the first day and half of the second day we were there. It was resolved, but we weren't able to shower comfortably on our first night. The driveway was steep. Our car slid down a bit. Overall this was a great stay for a small group. Assistance was quick and amenities were perfect.

PLEASANT HOME WITH A FRIENDLY SMALL DOWNSIDE.

The house was big enough for four adults and four kids. The backyard was big and full of fresh powder snow, in which we were able to build slides for the kiddos to sleigh. My family and I had a lot of fun. Amenities and the lake were close by, no more than a 10 minute drive. I rated the house three stars because even though it was mention that we might see little friendly critters such as mice, spiders, or ants, I found mice droppings all over the rooms, kitchen, and even in one of the mattresses. I understand that critters seek shelter during this time in warm homes, but a little bit of attention to detail or even performing a “once over” from either the housekeepers or property manager before renting the home would have gotten a better overall rating from us. Overall I would recommend this home to friends and family.

Heaven became hell during stay

VRBO is NOT transparent with fees. After clicking on listing, listed price increased by several $100’s. Caution: this unit’s driveway very steep, and can cause injury if slippery. If you want to ski, know that they do NOT plow this street, you may be stuck. Owner resistant to plowing the driveway. I was forced to use neighbor’s driveway as this driveway was unusable for several days. If you want to dig yourself out, there is no shovel available, but the neighbor is ok to lend his shovel. Michelle at Pinnacle was helpful & responsive: E.g. answered phone at 11pm on day of arrival as door code did not work. E.g., responded to texting when power went out & referred us directly to maintenance worker to instruct how to turn on gas heat.

Cozy cabin in a nice neighborhood

The house was cozy and clean. The bedrooms are well sized and mostly everything needed was there. The neighborhood/location is great. We did encounter a few issues:1. The driveway is surprisingly steep and has an epoxy coating making it slippery even when dry. We got some snow during our stay which made the driveway a treacherous experience. Even walking the up/down the driveway was difficult without slipping. Our 4WD F150 with AT tires was barely able to make it up, but it would slide back down after parking brake was engaged and engine shut off. I ended up parking it an angle at the bottom to keep it put. Next day we had to pack up, so I needed to get the truck up to the garage. Things had iced over more and I had to use 4L and locked diff to get up the driveway and get the bed into the garage enough to keep the truck from sliding back down... it was interesting to say the least. The garage itself is very small, so it cannot fit a larger vehicle. Definitely keep all of this in mind if using this property during snowy season.2. There were no shovels anywhere to help clear the driveway or get snow off your car. This is pretty standard for Tahoe rentals, so a bit of a surprise there. 3. The listing shows a clear picture of a grill. However, when we arrived, there was no grill to be found. After notifying management, they did send someone out to take the grill out of a locked shed.Otherwise we enjoyed our stay and the house.

It was clean, had the usual appliances that were expected. The door lock/open system is good and easy as there are no keys involved. We did have a few problems & suggestions. The garage door did not open so we could not put a car in it for 2 days, had problems with the TV, the instructions didn't help, so were basically not able to watch the TV for 2 days also. No ice maker or trays, so we had to go buy ice, instructions for accessing WiFi were incorrect, water faucet in main bathroom tub was dripping. I'm assuming they provide towels based on the # of people who are staying there, however, we could have used a couple more hand towels & washcloths. Overall, the place is in a good location and we would consider renting it again.

A Hot Week in Tahoe

The location of this property was great for us. My husband was doing the Viking Swim (10.5 miles) across the lake. With temps in the high 80’s AC would have been awesome! Other than that is was a great trip.
