You will see Teach an Phiarsaigh, the cottage where Patrick Pearse, writer, educator and leader of the 1916 Rising, spent his summers and explore Pearse’s historical and cultural legacy. Take a walk through the bog & learn about contemporary life in Connemara, and how the Irish language, Gaelic sports and traditional music are part of everyday life. Well worth a visit.This holiday home is a perfect base for touring all that Connemara has to offer along the Wild Atlantic Way.The bungalow consists of 2 double rooms, 1 single room and 1 full bathroom.Entrance hall leads to:Sitting room with couches 3 x 2 x 1 seater, open fireplace, TV, and 2 windows with beautiful lake & mountain views. Wooden floors, chest of drawers & fitted wardrobe.Single bedroom with window overlooking the front with lake & mountain views, wooden floor, fitted wardrobes.Large fitted kitchen with dining area. Bright and spacious room with 2 windows allowing ample natural light and beautiful scenic views. The kitchen houses a small fridge & separate freezer, electric oven & gas hob, toaster, kettle, microwave (please note no dishwasher). Dining table seating upto 6 guestsFamily bathroom with bath, sink & WC. Separate shower unit.There is a large garage housing a separate washing machine & drier.
