The Hop & Vine Inn's kid-friendly property is located in a peaceful country setting, yet only 5-10 minutes to Saugatuck, beaches, restaurants, & activities! Our 18 private units (with 23 private bedrooms, 4 semi-private bedrooms & 18 total full bathrooms...plus a few more half baths) are perfect for family reunions, corporate retreats, Church retreats, women's retreats, golf outings, and any large group event where everyone would like to gather to hang out and make memories, but also have their own private room & bathroom.

Reservations include a large main kitchen off the dining room perfect for cooking meals for large groups. The nearly commercial kitchen includes a large sink, small sink, double oven, commercial-size fridge, additional residential side-by-side fridge/freezer, and large microwave. Dishes, utensils, and a variety of cookware are provided. There is also a guest laundry room.

The large backyard (nearly completely fenced in for peace of mind - believe us, with 3 boys under 4, it has been tested) has a sand volleyball court (which doubles as a giant sandbox for little ones), play structure, swings, yard games, and outdoor ping pong that keep the kiddos busy for hours (when they aren't swimming in the indoor heated pool). Six of the ground floor units have shaded backyard patios with hops growing up the sides. Plenty of picnic tables and chairs for everyone scattered around the yard and 2 firepits. There is also a gazebo with a couch, and a large flat top gas grill for cooking 30 burgers at a time. A pickleball court (built summer 2022), and a driveway basketball hoop for casual shooting around are found on the other side of the building, near the 1904 barn (which makes a great group photo backdrop).

**Rates do not include events, weddings/receptions, or meals. Events such as small weddings & receptions will have an additional $1500-3000 event fee.

***We do NOT host parties (Ex. College parties, bachelor/bachelorette, or any other type of similar party event with lots of drinking/smoking). Our family lives a couple doors down with our 3 boys, 3 and under, so we're never far if there is anything you need during your stay. We specialize in multigenerational family gatherings (Ex. Family reunions, loding for family events, etc.), responsible adult gatherings, and retreats, so party types of gatherings are not a good fit for our family venue. Such groups will need to leave midstay, be charged for damages/cleaning, and will not be refunded for unused dates.

--> Sleeps 2-3: 9 standard rooms with queen beds (several with gas fireplaces)
--> Sleeps 4-5: 7 two-bedroom units
--> Sleeps 5-6: 2 townhomes with 2 bedrooms (2 queen beds, 1 twin, & 1 convertible couch) with private living rooms, full kitchens (complete with dishwasher and all the cooking utensils you'll need), fireplace, & patio.

While our building was not originally built to meet all ADA requirements, we recently added a ramp to improve access to the building. We're happy to answer any specific accessibility questions about the interior.

As far as things to do OFF the property, you'll never be bored! Saugatuck & Douglas are within 10-minute drive, and the public beach access to Lake Michigan, is only 3 miles away (and AMAZING for sunsets, rock collecting, and beach activities). Crane's Apple Orchard, Virtue Cider, Fenn Valley Vineyards, Saugatuck Brewing, kayaking, hiking trails at Saugatuck State Park, and the quaint boutiques, art galleries, & amazing food in Saugatuck, Douglas, Fennville keep us all very busy. (Ask us about special discounts these local businesses offer our guests!)

Our previous guests have enjoyed that we (the husband & wife owner team, Amber & Dan, and our 3 young boys) live near the property, and can maintain the pool, restock pool towels, answer questions, recommend super fun activities in the area, and ensure each stay is a wonderful one!
