Wonderful getaway in the mountains near San Jose and Santa Cruz

Sue and Randall were fantastic hosts and their house in the wood was a breath of fresh air for me while working in San Jose... it was the perfect distance from work and Santa Cruz. Their property was surrounded by towering trees and scenic woods. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to get away and spend some time in the woods. Their horses and cats were a pleasant addition to the stay as well.

The enchanted forest

Wonderful woodsy lodging just a short drive from the city

Great setting if you like to be away from all the hustle and bustle but still within a short drive of anything you need. Peaceful home among the redwoods. Sue and Randall are very friendly and provide anything you might need. Definitely recommend staying here.

Sue and Randall have raised 3 kids who are now off to college. This has opened up space in our home, which has been divided into duplex-style living. We love our mountain community and believe you will too - if you appreciate fresh air, open space, and waking to chirping birds.

Why they chose this property

The mountain setting is green and natural and the apartment is comfortable, spacious, and well-equipped. Conveniently, it is only a 10-minute drive to businesses in Los Gatos, and 25 minutes to the high tech companies of Campbell, San Jose, and Cupertino; 25 minutes to Santa Cruz and Hwy. 1 which leads to scenic coastal towns of Carmel, Monterey, and Half Moon Bay; 1 hour to San Francisco.
