Excellent property with fantastic amenities. Checking in was simple and welcome basket appreciated.Whilst it is a long walk in to the centre of Aviemore, there were plenty small walks round the property to take the dogs.

The Shambles

Fantastic stay at Nick and Erin’s place. The house was perfect for two families, and the hot tub and bbq hut were amazing. We would definitely visit again.

Great house for a family short break

We had a great stay at the Shambles made even better by some fabulous weather. The house is so well equipped with great facilities for everyone. Our granddaughter loved the play house and the hot tub was a great hit with the adults, as was the quiet spots for the grandparents to read books. The location and s also excellent with so much to see and do in the surrounding area. Our family are already angling for a return trip!!

Aviemore Trip

Excellent house for our multi generational family. Lots to do in Aviemore area. Walk into centre fine for adults but quite far for wee people!

Fantastic House in Aviemore

We had a brilliant time staying at The Shambles. The house was huge and the supply of wood for the log burner was much needed with the cold weather. Nick & Erin made us feel very welcome & provided us with a lot of information previsit as well during our stay. Can’t recommend this house enough.

We had an amazing stay at the Shambles! The house was so cosy and welcoming and the hot tub and bbq hut kept us entertained all weekend. Loch Morlich is a must see and not far from the house. Thanks to Nick & Erin for having us.

Great Home

We had a great time at The Shambles. It had everything and more than you needed. The BBQ hut was great, as was the hot tub. It was a really homely place to stay. We hope to return again Only because we have twin toddlers…but the stair gate at the top was a pain, a hinged one would have been better and would have felt safer but understand why it’s the one that it is.

Just back from a fantastic family weekend at The Shambles. The Host’s were extremely helpful and when we realised the kettle wasn’t working we had a replacement in under 30 minutes. The accommodation is lovely, spacious and very well equipped. Aviemore town centre is only a short walk away from the Cottage which was perfect for going out for a family meal followed by a dip in the hot tub finished off with drinks in front of the beautiful log fire. We would have no hesitation re booking.

The Shambles

Unlike the name suggests, this was a wonderful place to stay. Erin was so helpful. The lovely little touches of for our dog were a lovely surprise and well appreciated, we will know in future we can bring less for our 4 legged little girl. Would highly recommend. Can’t think of anything, maybe a checklist of all that is carried out before your arrival would be nice but that is coming from someone that has OCD.

Aviemore June 25

Loved how big the place was and all the bedrooms and bathrooms were great - lovely upstairs sitting area Outside is poor, furniture not fit for purpose. The bbq hut had no charcoal and it was not very inviting to cook in or sit in- very disappointed. The playhouse was also dirty. The general cleanliness of the place let it down, dusty and dated. ( needs attention to detail.) Think we paid over the odds given that the outside facilities were so poor (which is why we chose this instead of our usual place with Silverglades). Wouldn’t recommend it or be returning as it stands. Had good weather for once and had nowhere to enjoy it. Think it needs new pictures on the web site to reflect how it actually looks.
