Review for stay from 08 October 2026 to 12 October 2026

We stayed at the villa for five days and everything was excellent. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and pleasant, and the kitchen was very convenient and well equipped. The hospitality was wonderful, and the hosts were kind, helpful, and always available when needed. The only thing to keep in mind is that the pool was a little cold, but that’s completely understandable considering the season. Apart from that, everything was perfect and we had a great experience throughout our stay. The villa was spacious and had everything we needed for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday. We would definitely be happy to come back and highly recommend it to others!

We had a great week at the villa. We were 8 adults and one child. The villa was spacious enough for all of us. The host was kind and helpful. Great location. The villa was close to the beach and supermarkets, and there were plenty of restaurants nearby. We would absolutely recommend this villa! The only things missing were a full-length mirror and hooks to hang towels on. The coffee maker was not a filter coffee maker that we are used to in Finland. Having one of those would have made it easier to make coffee for 8 people.

The house was perfect for the start of our two week trip to Greece. Our family of five had plenty of room to spread out. The location had great restaurants within walking distance, beach was not far, and it served as a central spot for our adventures around Chania. The host was very responsive to any questions we had. Would definitely stay here or other Posarelli property.

Review for stay from 24 June 2026 to 30 June 2026

The villa was absolutely stunning. It has a modern finish in spaces like the kitchen and bathroom. Each bedroom had its own bathroom and 3 of the bedrooms lead to the pool area. We went on a family holiday with 2 kids so it was ideal because it was close to restaurants, shops and the beach. The villa itself had a good size pool and outdoor area including a bbq which was great. Our host was really nice, he was very responsive when we had questions and was very accommodating with our check in and check out times. We would definitely visit this villa again and use the host again!

Excellent, well built villa with a good layout and high quality equipment including barbecue. Lovely, well maintained swimming pool too. Perfect setting with everything you need for a relaxing summer holiday 10 minutes or less walk away. Nearest taverna 3 minutes walk (Rokka) lovely food and very friendly. The villa owner was also friendly and efficient and on time for our arrival and departure.

Review for stay from 12 July 2025 to 19 July 2025

We were two families with four adults and two teenagers renting the house for one week in July. We especially liked that all the bedrooms had their own bathroom and the modern style. It is walking distance to everywhere, restaurants, supermarkets and the beautiful beach. Only thing we missed was some nice lounge furniture to hang out in in the evening.

It was a very nice house with at a convenient walking distance from supermarkets, other stores, restaurants and the beach. We would have appreciated an awning over the sliding doors leading out from the living room area to be able to create shade, in addition to the parasols that were there. Also, plastic glasses (re-usable) for use around the pool area would seem like a good idea to avoid shattered glass in and around the pool.

Ideally situated property

The villa is situated on a quiet road that does get the odd car driving past. It is a 5 min walk to the beach and there are endless tavernas to walk to (1-5 mins). Additionally there is a bus stop a 2/3 minute walk away. The villa itself is nice and modern inside, with a lovely pool to laze around. We had a couple of things that needed attention, however, the owner came out within an hour or so. Communication was great. All in all, we had a great stay - make sure that you visit Samaria Gorge and Balos Lagoon

I expected to have enough toilet paper, hand and body soap, and minimum equipment for the kitchen (only one pot and pan). Few glasses for 9 people). A minimum quantity for dishwasher and washing machine (I had to buy also salt and rinse aid) etc.. Too expensive without all these things. REPLY The villa is self-catering, and we apologize for the dishwasher salt being missing. We will make sure to better stock the kitchen equipment.

Our stay

The villa lay out is very nice, the beds were very comfortable and location great. Few minute walk to the bus stop, beach and local shops. The owner was there on arrival and exchanged numbers in case of any issues. He was nice and polite and spoke great English. We did unfortunately encounter a few issues during our stay. The local neighbours have 2 outdoor dogs who bark at anything going past which was very annoying. The glass roof of the bedroom corridor leaked the first few days as it was raining which was followed by condensation dripping constantly for days so we mopped up numerous times to avoid anyone slipping. One morning 3 men appeared in the garden, they were gardeners mowing the lawn at 7:30, woke the whole house. I messaged the owner to say is this a joke? He said he didn’t know they were coming that early and apologised. They shouldn’t be coming at all whilst we were there and not expecting anyone. This happened again when the pool cleaner came. The white small square filter cover you see around the pool fell through when stepped on and injured someone’s foot. We made him aware and he said he’d send someone to fix in 3 days. No one came, we kept a lounger over it for the next week to avoid any more accidents. We were then charged 30 on check out from our deposit for it. I did complain as for me there’s nothing to say don’t walk on them and it’s wear and tear so we shouldn’t be charged, Especially after the other issues we had. Such a shame after a great stay.

Thank you for your detailed review — we truly appreciate both your kind words and your honest feedback. We're very happy to hear that you enjoyed the villa’s layout, found the beds comfortable, and appreciated the great location and our warm welcome. It’s always rewarding to know that the overall stay was positive. That said, we're genuinely sorry to hear about the issues you encountered. We take all feedback seriously, and I’d like to address each of your concerns: Noise from neighboring dogs: Unfortunately, this is beyond our control, but we understand how frustrating it can be and will continue to look for ways to minimize any disturbances. Leaking glass roof and condensation: We apologize for this inconvenience. The weather conditions can sometimes cause unexpected maintenance issues, but we’ll review this with the owner t ensure it’s properly resolved. Unscheduled visits by maintenance staff: You are right — guests should never be surprised by unannounced visits. We will work with all service providers to ensure their schedules do not disrupt guests’ privacy or comfort. Pool filter incident and deposit charge: Had we been informed during your stay, we would have gladly taken the opportunity to verify the issue and offer assistance promptly. As we are positioned between the owner’s and your point of view, it’s now difficult for us to determine with certainty that the injury was caused by the pool drain cover being unsafe.
