Villa Lia was perfect! We had a wonderful time and cannot justly describe how beautiful the view was from the Villa – perched on a cliff above the Bay of Naples and the Mediterranean with a view across to the Island of Capri - every evening we got to see the most magnificent sunsets! From the villa it’s a nice walk along the water to the small harbor where there are bars, restaurants, a small grocery store and boat tours to Capri, Amalfi and Positano – so convenient! And Sorrento is just a short taxi ride away – it was nice to stay at the peaceful Villa Lia with the dazzling view, and still be close to beautiful Sorrento with its many shops, restaurants, history, trains and busses.And our hosts, Martina and Raffaele were marvelous! Martina was always available and made many dinner and tour reservations for us as well as took me to the grocery store and butcher shop to stock up on supplies for my month’s stay. Also, a shout out to Giacomo, the property repair person and Tarun, our cleaner, for taking care of anything we needed in the Villa.

The place is wonderful, We loved our stay here. The problem was in communication. I worked through Orbitz who worked through VRBO who worked with the management company. I could not get into direct contact with the management company because of all the middlemen and my reservation email was linked to someone else. To their credit, the management company reached to me all day to arrange for check in, but we came from a cruise and did not have internet after 8:00 am. We were finally able to connect after we had checked in to a neighboring hotel for the first night. It was a nice walk to the marina where we loved Angelo's restaurant and his daughters. We were also able to take a boat from there to the Amalfi coast and Capri. They also have a boat to Sorrento. This saved us from stressful driving and parking. Raffaele, from the managing company, was great providing us with local tips and help with the luggage. I would stay there again, but would want them to reach out earlier than check in day to make the connection.
