This lovely timber holiday home is located at the heart of a small group of similar properties, just a few minutes' walk from Porthtowan beach, village and coastal paths. Tucked into a sheltered coastal valley and designed to blend in with the surrounding landscape, these lodges are the ethical and responsible choice for a self-catering holiday in Cornwall. You will not be occupying a property that could be used as someone’s home.
The house is in an elevated position and with a private rear access direct from its own parking space. It has a spacious and enclosed rear terrace, a front veranda, and a first floor balcony that offer privacy and the option of sun or shade all day long. The high speed fibre internet connection makes the house ideal for even the most demanding of internet users or for remote working.
The house has many sustainable features including cedar cladding, a sedum turf roof, very high levels of insulation, an integrated ventilation system with heat recovery and a heat pump / air conditioning unit.
Village amenities include a small grocery store, children's playground, surf hire and tuition and numerous cafes and pub / restaurants including the famous Blue Bar and The Unicorn.
The ground floor is very spacious and light with three glazed doors and side windows. The lounge area has two large leather sofas, coffee table, and a 43 in. Smart TV. The dining area has a large and sturdy oak dining set and a third leather sofa. The kitchen is separate and also large and well-equipped with a view to the rear and back terrace. There is also a WC on the ground floor.
The rear of the house is open right up to the roof with huge windows which greet the morning sun in summer. A staircase leads to the first floor.
The first floor has high quality laminate flooring throughout and tiles in the bathrooms. The main bedroom is large and has a delightful balcony with a fine view over the rooftops to the surrounding countryside and this gets the sun for most of the day . This room has a king size bed, a wardrobe and chest of drawers plus a good sized en suite with electric shower. Two more bedrooms offer a double bed and twin beds , both with storage space and hanging rails. The shared family bathroom has a full size bath with bath / shower mixer, plus wash basin and WC.
The spacious rear terrace gets the sun in the morning and provides an ideal spot for breakfast, or to rinse off and relax after a swim or surf. There is access directly from the allocated parking space and it is enclosed which will be especially useful if you are bringing the family pet.
