The aspects of the apartment that we liked were the location in the centre of town & the balcony where we could sit out to have morning coffee or an evening drink. We had concerns before we arrived when the management company didn’t respond to any of my emails querying the amount I was charged (more than the listing) or for some information on where to park. They only contacted me on our arrival day & were still not very helpful, so checking in was quite confusing & stressful. They never responded outside of their office hours. This was NOT a “luxury“ apartment. The listing said it was “newly refurbished” but this was clearly untrue. It was generally shabby & minimally equipped. On our arrival, there was only 1 bed made up, with sheets only & no information about more bedding. They assumed that 2 guests only need 1 bedroom, but we are sisters & we wanted separate rooms. We eventually found some random bedding in storage under a bed, since we had no reply from the management company that evening. Numerous lights either had missing bulbs or weren’t working, remote controls for air conditioning & lights weren’t working, the WiFi code that I was sent was incorrect, there was no tea towel or oven glove, no baking tray to use in the oven, etc. The drain for the shower was blocked & took a long time to empty - this got worse during our stay, so it became inconvenient to use. From the description & the price we paid, we had expected much more comfort & a much higher standard.
