The perfect place to relax, this immaculate, older log ranchhouse offers stunning views and a quiet location. Enjoy a spacious living room and eating area, full kitchen, master bedroom with a small en-suite bath with shower stall, two additional bedrooms, and a second full bath on the upper level of the home. The lower level of the house (ground floor) has a comfortable living space, three bedrooms, one full bath, a half bath, and a laundry with washer and dryer. An attached single car garage is available for guests' use.
Our peaceful log home is located halfway between Cody and the East Gate of Yellowstone National Park. The home is easily accessed from US Hwy 14-16-20, a route which Teddy Roosevelt once called the “most scenic 52 miles in America”. With its beautiful views from the upstairs porch and a rustic, rural location that feels like an old western movie set, this is the perfect place to relax and unplug.
Horseback riding, hiking, and fishing are all near by. Cody, home to the world-famous Center of the West with its five separate museums, also has art galleries, river rafting, grocery stores, and great shopping and restaurants. There are also several restaurants and a small convenience store within five miles.
One additional home as well as a small cabin and a large multi-purpose lodge are also located on the ranch making it a perfect spot for larger groups and family reunions; however, the buildings are set apart so that each also has its own privacy. Please contact us for more information on renting multiple buildings on this property.
Our home is on the other side of the large property. We are around the property most days and are always available to meet and help our guests. We enjoy visiting and getting to know our guests and are glad to offer suggestions and advice regarding the area.
Because this home is located in a rural setting, guests should be aware that cell phone service is somewhat limited. Internet (including Wi-Fi) is available in the house; however, guests should be aware that this is satellite-based Internet and speeds are quite slow. Additionally, data usage is capped making the service unsuitable for heavy download usage. We request that our guests refrain from video streaming and gaming. A television with a DVD player is provided in the downstairs living area, but there is no cable service available.
There is no central AC in the house, but there is a window unit in the kitchen and multiple fans available for guests’ use.
Because it is difficult to remove strong odors from logs, cooking of strong-smelling foods, including curries and deep-fried items, is not permitted. Smoking is not allowed anywhere on the ranch.

Stay was great and allowed us to go to Cody and Yellowstone with no hassle. Surrounding area is very beautiful and we saw deer and elk around the cabin.
This home is exactly as described. Plenty of room for everyone and beautiful views. The hosts are very pleasant and helpful. I would definitely stay here again!
We enjoyed the ranch house so much with 6 kids and 6 adults. There was plenty of room for us to space out and not feel crowded. It was the perfect little getaway home and provided us with everything we needed while visiting Yellowstone and the Tetons.
Doug and Yvonne were both wonderful. Doug stopped by multiple times to check in. Location is perfect to experience Cody and Yellowstone easily. Spacious house in a beautiful location.

Quiet beautiful mountain home.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this home. Very clean. Well supplied. Quiet. Very accessible to Yellowstone, Cody or the Teton's. Owners are great. They gave of great ideas of what to see and when. If we are ever in the area again would definitely stay here again.
The property was even better in reality than the listing showed! The configuration of bedrooms was perfect for our four couples, our 20-year old son and two young great nephews. The views are amazing and Doug and Yvonne were very accommodating and responsive to any needs and questions we had. You won’t be disappointed!!!!
The peaceful log home, Ranch House, near Yellowstone was everything we imagined. It is very spacious. The place was immaculately clean and the views were amazing. The property manager communicated with us frequently and was available to answer any questions. We would recommend this property to anyone who enjoys a beautiful area with peaceful surroundings.
Big thanks to Yvonne & Doug for sharing their home with us in September. The location is amazing and fairly close to the Yellowstone Park entrance on the west side and Cody on the east side. Yvonne came by and gave us great advice regarding touring the parks. It made our visit trouble-free and a lot of fun! The place was comfortable and mountain views sorrounded us! The place was immaculate and comfortable. Thanks, Yvonne!
While the description on VRBO is technically accurate, I wonder if the reviewers actually stayed in the same house we did.
I left 3 pages of hand written (9 different items) issues that we experienced while staying at this property for 7 days & 6 nights, July 2023, at the property when we checked out, for the owner.
While the property was adequate for our stay, it was definitely NOT what we expected for the money we paid.

We are sorry that Leah and her family were disappointed in our home. We do our best to be accurate in our description and take great care to ensure that the home is of top-level cleanliness. Our many 5-star reviews, which are actually for the same house in which Leah stayed, reflect our concern for the comfort and safety of our guests.
This guest did not bring any of her concerns to our attention during her stay. Her issues, which ranged from too few replacement liners for bathroom waste baskets to a slightly loose railing (which was resecured as soon as we read her note) to displeasure that my husband cautioned the family that there had been recent bear activity in our area, would have been addressed promptly if she had contacted us during her stay rather than leaving a lengthy note when she checked out.
A great place to relax but also enjoy the outdoors
The house was plenty big for the 8 people in my family. We had plenty of room to spread out and have space.
We absolutely enjoyed walking the property with it’s breathtaking views. Yvonne and Doug were so kind and very prompt to respond to all of my questions. Doug was very helpful with giving us advise about the area and the fun things we could do.
We were able to celebrate my daughters 13th birthday. There were cute decorations and a cake waiting for her when we arrived. The surprise made her day!
Thank you Yvonne and Doug!
This ranch house far exceeded our expectations. The pictures do not do this property and it’s views justice. It was absolutely breathtaking and had more than enough room for our family of 8 (4 adult couples). It is the perfect location between Yellowstone and Cody while still being secluded which is exactly what we wanted. Yvonne and Doug are awesome hosts with great advice and recommendations to make the most of your stay. We would go back in a heartbeat.
Our hosts made us feel like this was our home. They met with us to outline where we could go on the property and also suggested places to go. We found this was a great place to stay so we could get an early start on going into Yellowstone. There was plenty of room ---- and so very peaceful. It was great to be able to sit on the deck to have coffee and watch the sun come over the mountains. Doug and Yvonne made it known that they were just minutes away in case we needed anything. They deserve special thanks!
We came to Cody for a week to visit Yellowstone and check out Cody. We had a great time. The property is located on a good location to make both Yellowstone and Cody reasonable drives. The property has a nice setting and great views.
The Ranch house was very comfortably appointed with everything we needed for our stay. Doug and Yvonne were very easy to work with and exceptionally friendly. Doug was around every day if we had any questions (which we did not because all was great!). Loved the view from the front porch! Would recommend this home to anyone traveling to the Cody/Yellowstone area.
By far the most beautiful property I’ve stayed on! The house was roomy with 5 bedrooms and a wonderful porch/deck that overlooked the gorgeous foothills! Hiked right on the property. Went to Yellowstone twice. We enjoyed Cody- only 30 minutes drive! The Keppelmans are fabulous hosts. Highest star ratings!!
Checkin was easy and so was check out. They made adjustments for us and were very helpful and understanding. Their cabins were clean. Very polite hosts.
Located close to Cody and Yellowstone. Beautiful space away from being to close to anyone. Stairs are little iffy on the porch especially for my elderly father. Kitchen is located upstairs the inside stairs are a bit better. Plenty of space and amazing views.
Doug and Yvonne are a giving, generous, and thoughtful couple. Excellent communication and very helpful. The house was beautiful and immaculately clean. We were blessed to have found this place. We highly recommend Wapiti Valley Ranch. It is centrally located with stunning views in every direction! We can’t wait to visit again!
This is a wonderful place to relax with your family and be within driving distance of Yellowstone (30-40 mins) and Cody (20 mins). The owners are top notch and were available if we needed anything. The incredible "360 degree view" of Wapiti Valley never got old.
Great location between town and Yellowstone, great view from the front porch, and very, very nice hosts.
