Welcome to Coucou Cottage, a traditional French house over 300 years old. It has been renovated from top to bottom. We have tried to preserve the charm of this lovely cottage whilst ensuring you have all modern comforts. The cottage is located on the edge of the lovely medieval village of Thedirac. It has a private garden with countryside views including a swimming pool.
You can enjoy spacious open plan living downstairs. A lounge with traditional fireplace opens on to a dining area and fully fitted kitchen. French doors open onto a private covered terrace with outdoor seating and dining area. You will also find a double bedroom downstairs and a family bathroom with a separate shower and bath plus a cloakroom with toilet. The downstairs accomodation is ideal for older family members who don't want to tackle the stairs.
Upstairs there are two large double bedrooms each with their own en-suite shower and toilet. All the bedrooms have blackout curtains and fans for use in the hotter weather.
The lounge has a large smart television and we have wifi and internet throughout the house and on the terrace outside. The kitchen has a Smegg range cooker, plus a microwave, coffee maker, large fridge freezer and dishwasher. We provide a food proccessor and coffee grinder too.
In the garden you will find a large terrace overlooking the swimming pool with six comfortable loungers and parasols. A table tennis table too. Coucou is located on top of a hill at the edge of the village so you have lovely views over the French countryside. A peaceful spot to watch the sun go down and admire the swallows as they dive in and out of the pool. At the bottom of the garden near to the pool there is a covered area housing a gas BBQ. and a charcoal one too.
There is a washing machine provided for guests use, located off the entrance area.
