Beautiful newer home on the sunny side of peaceful Camp Lake in Iron River

Welcome to our summer home right on the lake! We're situated on the sunny north side of Camp Lake (a quiet, residential and full recreation lake) in Iron River, MI. Enjoy your days out on the water fishing, swimming, skiing, or just relaxing being away from it all.

The house is well equipped with new appliances, beds, and memory foam mattresses in most beds. Every room has an air-conditioning unit to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

The back yard slopes right down to the shore line with a fire pit and seating for those lovely evenings near the water, which includes a 30 foot dock with an 8'x12' platform. Within the dock area there is a shallow (1-3 foot) beach area for kids to enjoy the crystal clear water. There is a paddle boat and a row boat to use as well as life jackets.

Visiting in the fall or winter? There are plenty of activities in the area to keep you as busy as you would like. Ice fishing, Sled dog races, cross country, snowmobiling or Ski Brule is just a 10 minute drive down the road. After a day out in the snow, come home and relax with radiant, in-floor heating for a warm, all-over cozy atmosphere.

The small town of Iron River is home to several family owned businesses.... coffee shops, antiques, gifts, restaurants and grocery stores. A visit to the downtown is a unique experience for the whole family.

Had a great stay! Carolyn was very responsive to any questions leading up to and during the stay. We rented the house with one other family for a weekend ski trip at Brule and the house was perfect for 2 families (4 adults, 5 children) and the commute to the hill was less than 10 minutes. Will certainly look into renting again both in the summer and winter.

Check in was super easy, the place was even nicer than in the photos. The kitchen was well-stocked with tools (pots/pans/dishes) for meals. We had multi-generations staying and the accomodations worked well for all. We slept 8 adults, one child and 3 toddlers comfortably. There was plenty of room to gather both indoors and outside. The lake was beautiful and serene, not busy at all. Checkout was also very easy. The instructions left were very clear and welcoming. Overall the experience was amazing. We will definitely look to book this house again if we return to the Iron River area!!

Great Cabin Getaway

Family vacation to get away and relax together. The kids had a blast fishing off the docks and riding around in the paddle boat. Parents and grandparents got to relax and catch up with some occasional fishing of their own. Cabin was clean and well cared for. Great communication with owner for any questions.

Such beauty

My family and I had a wonderful time at this property. The lake was absolutely gorgeous! We had access to the paddle boat which we used and the rowboat which we did not use but it was nice to know it was there. We were grateful for the life jackets provided. We were able to have a fire by the lake while the neighbors provided firework entertainment. There's plenty of sleeping spaces for my boys and they brought games for entertainment. The kitchen was well stocked with what we needed and the beds were very comfortable as well. Although there was no central air there were window units but the house stayed cool enough without turning on the units. We enjoy checking out the town and the local Iron County Museum. Communication was great! I especially appreciated all the information of how to do the checkout and what was expected of us. Thank you for a great experience!

Excellent location close to Ski Brule (6 minutes even in the snow), very warm and comfy cabin with in floor heating. Mud room was excellent size allowing us to try variety of snowy clothing. Yard down to the lake provided a great make your own sledding ramp. Mattresses were mempry foam and provided very rewarding nights sleep. Highly recommend for a family or geoup looking to be close. To ski brule, Iron River, and/ or on a nice size lake. Host was very responsive with questions and requests.

Perfect Autumn stay

My daughter and I spent the week looking for property in the area and chose to stay here. It was the best decision we made next to placing an offer on a property on a other local lake just like this one. The house was perfect, the weather was great and the owners were super easy to deal with. It was a great stay. I would highly recommend staying here...the perfect lakehouse to chill 😎

Lovely, super clean house that would accommodate a larger family. The lake is quiet, clear and clean with a great dock. The surrounding area is beautiful and relaxing. The house is well equipped - it was nice to have a washer/dryer. Short drive into Iron River and Crystal Falls for groceries, eating out and shopping. Easy communication with owner. We (Gary and Carolyn) first visited Iron River in early 2009 when some friends moved to the area and Gary helped drive the moving truck. The scenery is captivating with all the natural beauty and wildlife. We love coming to Camp Lake to enjoy the peaceful surroundings, take long walks, and enjoy the company of friends. The kids love talking about the dog sled race that we watched in Iron River, as well as the Rodeo in the summer! One of these days we will make it to Ski Brule too!

Why they chose this property

Quiet! We wanted a quiet, peaceful, and clean space to enjoy. This side of Camp Lake is sunny, quiet, and has super clean clear water. The pebbled beach area keeps the water clear and clean.

What makes this property unique

We do our best to offer all the comforts of home. With comfortable beds for a sound night sleep, and a well equipped kitchen, it makes waking up in the morning and having your first cup of coffee a real treat. If you visit in the colder months, you will also appreciate the heated floors.
