The Casco Viejo apartment exceeded my expectations. The apartment is well appointed and clean. The location is perfect! The street is quiet, close to restaurants, a grocery store, and other conveniences. It was an amazing experience.

Warning: a beautiful home, but the noise is crazy. Church bells a half block away begin ringing LOUDLY at 6:30am every morning and ring every 15 minutes until 10pm! To make matters worse, on weekend nights music from surrounding clubs floods in until past midnight. Earplugs did not help. None of this was in the listing. If you wake by 6:30 and then stay up dancing until the wee hours, this is your spot. If sleep or quiet is important to you, look for other options.

Thank you for acknowledging the beauty of our home. We are sorry to hear that your experience regarding rest was not satisfactory. However, we would like to clarify one point: we have personally stayed at the property, and in our experience, the bells of La Merced do not ring every 15 minutes, as this review claims. We respect your perception of the noise, but we feel that describing it this way does not reflect the typical conditions we have observed. The property is located in Casco Antiguo, a historic neighborhood with cultural activity and nightlife, where ambient noise can vary depending on the day. We understand that this location may not be suitable for those seeking an environment of absolute silence.

The apartment was as posted. The kitchen was well appointed. Very comfortable. The area was quiet. There were plenty of restaurants and Plazas to explore. It was the perfect home away from home. The concierge, Carlos was very helpful and tolerant of our broken Spanish. Would come back and recommend.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The apartment was spacious and had a powdered room. It was a great location in Casco Viejo. Carlos, the apartment super, is helpful and kind. Maria, the apartment owner, is outstanding. She responds to any questions quickly and politely. I loved my stay and definitely plan a return trip

We had a wonderful stay in Panama! The amenities were more than adequate — a large refrigerator, easy-to-use microwave, and plenty of cutlery made everything very convenient. The nearby supermarket was a huge plus, and we especially loved the balcony — my husband and I truly enjoyed the entire property.The neighborhood was lively, vibrant, and very tourist-friendly, which made exploring easy and enjoyable. The only suggestion would be replacing the front door lockbox, as it could use an upgrade. Overall, a great stay and we would happily return!

Amazing

Really spacious and clean apartment right in the middle of the old town. This place is well maintained. I really enjoyed staying in this place. It is within the walking distance to all the restaurants and bars.

If you want to explore “old town” Panama City, this location in Casco Viejo is the place to stay. Surrounded by multiple restaurants and shopping, this apartment was ideal. My host was responsive to any of my requests for assistance and much appreciated .

Convenient & Charming in the heart of Casco Viejo

Stayed at this charming apartment for a few days - great location, around the corner from restaurants, bars/rooftops, convenience store, boutique shops. A beautiful cathedral is a few blocks away but there is a small church a few doors from the apartment building and can hear the church bell each time it rings but you get used to it. I would stay there again or recommend. The host is very responsive and helpful, thank you Maria.

We loved it here and plan to return. One week is not enough. The apartment is beautiful, bright, airy, and open. It's perfect for the less adventurous days of sitting on the balcony with a coffee or a rum; and a lovely place to return to after running around.

Place is perfectly situated in Casco Viejo. So much so that we headed out for breakfast but stopped at so many places to shop and take photos, it was lunchtime when we finally sat down. Highly recommend a meal at Mahalo down the street and a visit to Museo de Mola. Place is clean, safe, quiet and convenient. Always, I wish for a welcome packet with a map and ideas of places to visit, but that’s all that was missing. Great place!!!

Superb quiet in the heart of all the action

Beautiful apartment with everything you need for a week in the city. Fabulous location in the heart of Casco Viejo but amazingly quiet picturesque block. Two bathrooms and one very nice sized bedroom and a fully equipped kitchen where we made all our breakfasts. Comfy little patio deck over the street to sit as day began and ended. Great.

Old City Stay

The one bedroom was very spacious and clean. Easy walking distance to all Casco Viejo restaurants and sites. It was a quiet street compared to much of the old town. While modern, the kitchen had the basics. We didn't cook much. Could have used a queen or king size bed. It had the room. All in all it was a good choice.

Great location & Good Owners

We appreciated the location of this in the heart of Casco Viejo neighborhood. The area was safe and well patrolled. The building had added security. The place was very clean. We enjoyed the balcony. Netflix was available on the TV. There was some noise from the church bells and night clubs, but we didn't mind it. The owner was detailed in the check in process notes. She was available to answer our questions and very kind. We would recommend this place to other travelers.

Amazing Apartment! Amazing Vacation!

Our stay in Casco Viejo was so beautiful and this Apartment put it over-the-top! Beautifully located, comfortable, clean and so gorgeous. The views from the balcony made every day start out energetically and end relaxed 😎. The concierge was helpful, there's a laundry area with washer/dryer in the building that's free to use. The apartment has a coffeepot and kitchenwares, ac to beat the summer heat, and tv and wifi if you want to take a break from the city. The host was easy to reach out to, and always sweet and helpful... Highly recommend booking if you get the chance. You won't regret it!!
