About this property

Cabins Carn Eilrig & Geal Cham are identical luxuriously appointed log cabins situated adjacent to Croftside, Aviemore. Croftside is a quiet residential area of Aviemore and the log cabins are in a cul de sac with no through traffic.

Both Lodges are 3 bedroom, double glazed, and well insulated ensuring maximum comfort with quality furnishings, fully equipped modern kitchens and colour TVs with DVD player. The heating throughout is electric.

There is accommodation for up to 6 guests in each lodge with three bedrooms per lodge and additional en suite facilities in the master bedrooms. Outside there is ample parking space, and our prices are fully inclusive of bed linen, towels and electricity. We are also happy to accommodate well behaved pets.

Kitchen/ Lounge area/ Diner– The fully fitted modern kitchen contains numerous appliances including ceramic hob, oven, microwave & dishwasher, and all kitchen utensils and crockery you will require. The dining area seats 6, and the living area has two large settees, a flat panel TV

Master bedroom– double bed with bedside cabinets, a chest of drawers, and an en suite shower room.

Bedroom 2 – Twin beds with bedside cabinets and a chest of drawers.

Bedroom 3 – Twin beds with bedside cabinets and a chest of drawers.

Family bathroom with bath with overhead shower, wash hand basin and wc.

Utility Room – Washing machine and drier, and an area for drying outdoor clothing.

Outside – Covered decking area, accessible via patio doors from the lounge.

Nice place but let down by bath and toilet

This is basically a nice holiday home but two things let it down badly: 1. It is impossible to have a bath. You get little or no hot water coming through the bath taps. This is a big one for me. I like to relax in the bath after a day on the mountains in winter and I specifically booked this particular cottage because it had a bath. It was hugely disappointing not to be able to have a single bath throughout my stay. 2. The toilet in the comunal bathroom did not flush properly. We had to spend the whole week topping up the cistern before using the toilet. This was a ridiculous inconvenience to have to go to while on holiday. Providing only two toilet rolls for six people for a week was not impressive either. We had to buy our own after the first couple of days. Apart from those problems it is a nice cottage, comfortable, well equipped, very well located with mountain views and a balcony. I just couldn't recommend unless the faults with the bath and toilet were to be fixed.

excellent stay in Aviemore

We have stayed in Gael Cham for 4 nights. The cabin is right at the entry point of Aviemore (from Inverness) and is located at a dead end so there is no traffic nearby. The house has a big living room and kitchen with TV and terrace, where you can sit with good weather. There are 2 bathrooms, which is very handy if you are travelling with more people. The beds were not that great, some of the kids had trouble sleeping due to that. From the location you can walk to the village centre in a few minutes. In a few minutes with car you are at Rothiemurchus, which has an excellent shop with local fresh products. If you follow that road you end up at Loch Morlich, which is great for a day outdoors, either on the water, at the beach or on the hills. We would recommend this property for anyone visiting Aviemore.

Beautiful lodge in fabulous location

Our stay here in this property was great. Very comfortable and very clean. Excellent directions were given and very easy and secure check in. Wee cleaning pack was left for us on our arrival which was very handy. There is a seated bench table on the balcony however I felt it would be even better if there were a couple of comfortable chairs to sit on as well. The only other thing I would recommend would be new mattress’s for the beds as a couple of us felt they were uncomfortable, sore backs the next day etc. Overall a great property and would definitely recommend and go back

A nice stay at Gael Cham

Good location, lodge was clean and tidy. Weather was amazing ! Could just do with a few things adding to the glassware department. Garden could benefit from a BBQ / additional seating in grass area. There's an old battered clothes dryer in the garden that's neither effective or useful - i'd just remove it ! Thanks
