We have been once before to this cottage it’s wonderful the location is great and the cottage is lovely Duncan the owner is really helpful and leaves a lovely welcome pack and we have booked again for next year already
When it says “ Sea View” it means it . Clear view of the bay all the way to the Port of Felixstowe. Very close ( 100 metres) to the beach but on a quiet campus away from the noisy seaside “ attractions “. It is the old Sanitorium to the now closed Felixstowe College. As such the doors and corridors are wide and the rooms spacious. Each room has a door onto the private patio.
The rest of the campus seems to be posh flats . We weren’t disturbed at all and the natives seemed friendly.
Dad is 92 with some mobility issues and he very much enjoyed the space in the property where he could use his walker .
Currently the shower is over the bath but the owner , who came to greet us and show us around said that there are plans for a walk in shower.
Using dads scooter we went all the way to the viewing point at Felixstowe docks without going on the road . We also made it to Old Felixstowe and the Ferry which requires a short diversion in land and might be considered a journey for the more adventurous scooter rider .
We booked immediately for next year . I think that says it all!
