Very comfortable cottage, set in chocolate box picturesque town.

Very comfortable cottage, set in chocolate box picturesque town. There are so many quaint and beautiful shops, a variety of good places to eat, and a plethora of walks leading out from Pateley Bridge, that you could spend the entire holiday in the one place, should you arrive without a car. However there are so many historic, and natural beauty places within close driving range, that you are spoilt for choice.

Overall our visit went well ,excellent accommodation for local shops & base for historic attractions. Unfortunately there was insufficient crockery for 4 guests ,& a few gripper rod pins were prominent on the stairs ,my Husband was able to knock them back in ,so not a problem now . I did write these comments in the visitor book ,& hope they are rectified, as wouldn’t like to deter any other renters .

Lovely little stay and great location.

Lovely little stay and great location. Was slightly noisy being next to the back of the pub when they were clearing bottles etc - but only for short bursts which did'nt impact the stay. Would recommend to others.

Lovely little village but everywhere closed very early, even the takeaway closed at 10pm, not a soul on the street after this time. The cottage was lovely and. very comfortable and in a great location to explore the surrounding areas.

great place for a short break two great pub a few minutes walk away.

great place for a short break two great pub a few minutes walk away. bus stop 100yds. riverside walk close by .the accommodation is close to the high street Butchers Bakers, all the fast food options an a supermarket. The cottage was nice, well set out, it had a large double and two singles, the rooms were very well dressed and decorated. it was nice to have a full size TV. only gripe was the toaster is broken inside need replacing.

The reviews I read on the Internet were a bit unfair.

The reviews I read on the Internet were a bit unfair. The beds were very comfortable. The cooker top was a bit temperamental but if you switched it off at the main switch and then on again, it was fine. Everything was very clean when we arrived. The pub kitchen staff work next door and someone brought a dog which they locked outside in a small gated area. It started barking at 8.30 when anyone walked past. It also barked as we went past, sounding very unfriendly. Could be quite frightening for young children.

Good location - but can hear people sitting out at rear of pub - heating not fully working and thermostat & fusebox makes a loud noise when heating turned on. No curtains only light coloured vertical blinds in main bedroom so very light in the morning as the sun comes up. Other bedroom not bad as dark coloured blinds - not as bright.
