Welcome to the gîte "Sur les Hauteurs" in Samrée, a small typical Ardennes village located on the heights of La Roche-en-Ardenne.

This gîte is ideal for 6 people with its 3 large bedrooms, you can fully enjoy a quiet stay with family or friends.

The 4-fronted house consists of a large living room, a lounge, an equipped kitchen, a miscellaneous corner, 3 bedrooms and a bathroom with shower and bath.

The gîte is equipped with a freezer, fridge, washing machine and dryer.
There is also a bicycle washing area for mountain bikers and cyclists.

A large garden at the back of the building allows you to enjoy the surrounding nature.
A good barbecue around the petanque court will also delight many people.

Whatever the season, there are plenty of activities to choose from: cross-country skiing, hiking, attractions, museums, etc. The tourist towns of La Roche-en-Ardenne and Houffalize are nearby.

Samrée is the central point between La Roche-en-Ardenne, Houffalize, la Baraque de Fraiture, Marche-en-Famenne and Bastogne.

Not the best experience, but a lovely location.

We stayed one night, visiting from the states. The location was wrong on the app and it took us a while to figure out what the address was. We had no reason to know this and got lucky we saw it. Great parking, and nice house, but the owner didn't provide sheets or blankets for the beds. We had to pay an additional 75 Euros to get blankets. It didn't say this in the listing so I don't think that was appropriate. I've never had that happen before. The last complaint is there is no bathroom where the bedrooms are. You have to go downstairs. Very difficult for older people in the middle of the night. The owner also didn't speak English when the listing said she does. Luckily my wife knew enough French to get through the night. Overall, not a bad place, just communicate with the owner to make sure you understand everything.

Maison au bord de la forêt ! Et pas si loin de l’autoroute : donc très bien desservie ! Maison très propre , lits confortables. Dommage qu’il n’y ait pas une seconde capsule de lave vaisselle et deux petits berlingots de lessive . C’est toujours une attention très agréable et pratique. Également c’est dommage qu’il n’y ait pas un rouleau d’essuie-tout , quand on oublie ses serviettes de table , s’essuyer la bouche au papier toilette donne un drôle de goût au repas … Mais excellent séjour !
