The Breakers - Riviera Apartment
The Breakers – Riviera Apartment is an extraordinary seaside retreat on the stunning Kent Coast. Nestled on one of Sandgate’s most prestigious private roads, this unique getaway offers direct beach access and, on a clear day, breathtaking views of France. The Breakers is where elegance meets coastal charm, providing a stylish yet inviting atmosphere. With renowned gastropubs just five minutes away and easy access to Sandgate Village and Folkestone Harbour, it’s the perfect base to explore the best of the area.
Step inside, and you will find a space designed to inspire. The vibrant interiors are brimming with character, featuring an astonishing mural by Kent artist Oliver Trowell, ceiling lighting that depicts a shooting star, and a curated collection of sculptures and artwork. The apartment is flooded with natural light, making it the ideal summer retreat, while a cosy wood burner and plush furnishings create a warm and welcoming hideaway during the winter months. Whether you're seeking sun-drenched days by the sea or a snug escape with waves crashing in the background, The Breakers offers year-round appeal.
The entrance sets the scene with an enchanting display of maritime artifacts and paintings, a nod to the rich heritage of both the local area and its owners. This leads to a stylish living space where floor-to-ceiling windows showcase uninterrupted, panoramic sea views. A comfortable seating area, a dining table for four, and a well-equipped kitchen make it easy to relax and entertain. The room itself is a masterpiece, adorned with an extraordinary mural, Greek columns, and elegant sculptures, creating an atmosphere that is both artistic and welcoming. The double bedroom is a tranquil retreat, complemented by a chic bathroom boasting a Jacuzzi bathtub, offering the ultimate space to unwind. A convenient laundry room adds practicality, and the layout can be adapted into a self-contained apartment if required.
Just steps from your door, the pebble-strewn beach stretches along the coast, offering expansive views over the English Channel. A short stroll leads into Sandgate Village, where boutique shops, antique stores, and cosy cafés invite you to explore. Follow the coastal path to Folkestone’s Creative Quarter, brimming with independent galleries, artisanal eateries, and the renowned Folkestone Triennial, a must-visit for art lovers.
