The coach house is a quiet, bright and new studio nestled amongst the trees, with a garden and forest setting in Halfmoon Bay. With a peak-a-boo ocean view and a private entrance, this fully equipped studio is yours to reduce the distractions of a busy life. Surrounded by the forest you can relax outdoors with your morning coffee in the garden sun.

The coach has a fully covered porch to rest and enjoy the outdoors whether it's the evening sun or the sounds of the rain. The grounds are well treed with access to a common area to enjoy coffee in the morning sun. A winding trail is available to access the Sunshine Coast Regional District public bike and walking trails at the back of the property.

With a private entrance you can come and go with ease. Parking is onsite at the foot of the driveway.

We arrived to a very clean, spacious apartment with all the amenities you would need for a long or short stay. There were fresh flowers, which added a nice personal touch to the apartment. The bed was firm and comfortable. The towels were plenty and were very fresh smelling. Thank you Rob and Dave for making our stay an enjoyable one. We will be back!

It has everything you need to stay a few nights or longer.Rob and David are incredibly gracious and welcoming and made us feel right at home as soon as we arrived. Upon arrival we were welcomed by our lovely hosts who were very friendly and helpful. They provided us with info on local amenities and hiking trails. Our accommodation was as described in the listing. Plenty of space to relax, settle and make meals. The property is in a private and tranquil forested setting. Peaceful sounds of nature with our windows open!I was somewhat uncomfortable with the cleanliness. Under the coffee table there was a pair of sandals that had been left behind by a previous guest, so I didn't feel vacuuming had been done thoroughly. Kitchen cabinets could use a tidy out of odds and ends. I had to wash the towels the next morning because they were musty/smelly after getting wet from drying off after a shower. Great washer/dryer.Our hosts were great. Overall our accommodation was good. I know with a good clean and ensuring linens are always fresh it would be five stars.

Short stay at Hawthorn Coach House

I stayed at the Coach House for two nights end of June 2024. The space is gorgeous, quiet and full of light. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed hiking at Smuggler Cove and a massage at a spa nearby. Would go again.

Lovely getaway spot

Lovely hosts and peaceful spot. Great value for the $. Worth noting that this is a studio space with no separating walls. The bed is in the living space which wasn't clear to us from the listing and a bit of a surprise and not really what we wanted. The tiny shower was also a bit of a struggle. Overall pleasant stay if you know what to expect.

We enjoy meeting new people and enjoy stories and adventures. Our interest in the coast is every changing and we attribute this to all the guests that have shared their sometimes quiet and outrageous days discovering the hidden coastal gems.

We spend lots of quiet time in the garden and with our hounds and the coast is a perfect setting for both.

Why they chose this property

This property is set midway up the coast 10 minutes north of Sechelt.
It is a great launch pad for hiking, biking and enjoying the Salish sea.

Quiet and nestled in between a well treed garden setting, it's an ideal spot to recharge.

Property backs on to a network of walking and bike trails, including beach access which is a meandering 10 minutes away.
