This rental home was absolutely stunning! The hosts were responsive, accommodating, and very kind. Thye let us use the whole property which had beautiful gardens and a stunning moat. The cleanliness of the actual place was top notch. We had a great stay and the castle was just such a perfect way to end the trip. The room is spacious and great for a historical stay. We loved having breakfast up on the roof and the surrounding town is amazing. It's in a great location. Definitely re commend staying here
Totally amazing from start to finish… would highly recommend… hosts are as fab as the property!! So wish we could keep this to being our secret!! Thank you so much… return visit guaranteed
Our hosts were great, fabulous directions and early communication. Lovely welcome pack with effort made to have things made specifically for the place. All the amenities you could want. Bed was very comfy with lovely linens. Such a really fabulous romantic sanctuary, hidden away in beds of snowdrops, but within easy reach of everything you need. Great log burner, which really warms the place, with all the original features of a characterful property.
The drive up the lane way and seeing the Welsh Gate House was beautiful! We climbed the spiral staircase to one of the best stays we have ever had. It was very romantic and the host went above and beyond with special touches. A very memorable stay and we look forward to returning one day.
Tastefully and thoughtfully restored with all comforts, and our own personal turret to admire the views. The warning about the steep spiral staircase and the ladder to the sleeping loft were not an exaggeration so not suitable for anyone with limited mobility. However, since my husband wanted to reenact the castle scene from Monty Python and the Holy Grail, he braved the staircase!
