Beachside Cottage Idyllic Situation, Stunning Views Over Morecambe Bay

Thank you for your review. The decorator is coming round tomorrow! We did actually have that room repainted in spring but for some reason the paper has peeled off. It’s always difficult to get things like that fixed when the cottage is fully booked but it will be sorted now! Rose

Thanks! Hope to see you again!

Thank you, Tracey

Well I haven’t a clue what that is but I’m pleased you enjoyed your week!

Thank you for this review- we hope to see you again soon!

Than you for taking time to review. I must admit I was worried when I first read it as I feel we always leave the cottage well stocked with equipment so I wondered what had happened to it all. I’ve just got over to check and find 12 dinner plates, 17 small plates, 9 mugs, 13 drinking glasses, 7 wine glasses, 5 bowls plus various other plates and bowls; 10 knives, 11 forks, 13 dessert spoons , 4 teaspoons( they must get thrown away regularly!). Other than the teaspoons, I feel this is plenty for 5 guests. However, had you contacted me during your holiday, I could have ensured more were supplied for your week. If there was anything broken, I’d appreciate if you could let me know what - we’re always happy to replace things if we know about them. I don’t think we’ve ever had it hot enough up here before this summer to warrant fans but I’ll make sure some are available in case it’s this hot again. I’m not sure what we can do about flies in the hot weather but I’ll make sure fly swats and spray are provided. I can see some new stains on the living room carpet and will see if I can get them out - the carpet was new only 2 yrs ago so I’d hoped it would last a bit longer. I’m afraid we have no control over the hedges on the public highway tho the council are usually pretty good at not letting them get overgrown. We didn’t have a problem getting down today so maybe they’ve done it since you were here, I will ring to check and see if they can tell me when it’s on their schedule. I hope these issues didn’t spoil your enjoyment here

I’m sorry the property didn’t match up to your expectations. You were the first person to tell us the tiles were broken - we had been aware of some cracks but not of anything broken. The whole floor has now been replaced. I don’t know what had happened to the wallpaper as we had only had it redecorated in spring! Maybe the extreme hot weather? Anyway, the decorator is now booked for December. It was very disappointing to hear that the property was not clean - it is always difficult when guests find the housekeeping not up to standard but either don’t let us know until after their stay or choose not to call the cleaners out. Problems do arise sometimes but we do ask that we are notified immediately or the cleaners called out directly so any problems can be resolved - there is a notice to this effect in the cottage. Please give us a chance to put any problems right as we will always endeavour to do so as soon as we are informed

Thank you!

Thank you - and for booking again!

Thank you, Alison. We hope to see you again! Rose

Thanks, Rachel - hope to see you again! Rose

Thank You! Look forward to you booking again.

Thanks, Debbie - pleased you enjoyed your stay!

Thank you so much for this review - you have summed up the cottage and location! I’m glad you had a relaxing week - hope you manage to get back some time Rose

So sorry about the DVD player! We recently swapped the TV for a smart TV and I took the DVD player away, thinking there was no need for it!

Thank you for reviewing our cottage - it’s the first time anyone has said the area was too busy! how unfortunate for you - as you say, it must have been because it was bank holiday and also maybe because there has been such an increase in people trying to get out and about following lockdown. I wonder if you mean down near the cottage (which is usually almost deserted if for no other reason than there is no public parking down there) or the wider area - which is more likely. I’m sorry you feel your elderly parents would be unable to cope with the steps - as we say in the description, the property is all on one level but there are 4 steps (with handrail) down from the car parking area. I hope your parents were ok while you had your week away.

The tides are very variable! Sometimes they are right up to the cottage every day, at other times it’s a long way out. Sorry we couldn’t arrange for it to be nearer for you!

Thank you for this review - we feel very privileged you have chosen to get married from the cottage - a first for us!

Thank you, Mandy, you must have seen it in all weathers by now!

Thank you! We look forward to seeing you again!
