Great estate up on the hill

Overall the stay was perfect. Plenty of space for our group with all the amenities anyone could ask for. Our host was by far the best, she communicated early, clearly, often and made our stay fantastic.

Lovely and relaxing

We had a wonderful stay. Kitchen was large and well stocked. Rooms were roomy and beds we’re comfortable. Easy access to markets and beaches. Cleaning crew showed up early on day of departure which was startling and frustrating but Kristina took care of it immediately. She was very helpful during our entire stay. We look forward to staying again some day.

50th Anniversary

Amazing property, the host couldn't do enough for us. Such an fantastic space for friends to get together and celebrate. The host also organised a chef to come in and prepare an superb dinner for when we arrived at the property. We now have some very special memories for a milestone in our lives.

Beautiful and clean but has an odor

This place is big and Beautiful and all the pictures are accurate. The owners are super nice. The location is great as well. It’s private and quiet and very close to 3 small local restaurants and a market. It’s also just 15 minutes drive to a bigger town (Ericeira) with tons of restaurants and the beach and cliffs and beautiful views. The only downside is there is a strong odor that smells like mildew and fabreeze. It hits you when you enter the house every time. It was strongest in all the bathrooms but filled the house. One bath/bedroom was so strong we had to close the doors and avoid it. We were able to that since there were only two of us. Everything was clean but the odor was prominent. My personal suspicion is cleaning was done with a mildewed mop or something. The manager came to check and claimed he didn’t smell anything. But to my wife and I it was undeniably present. I hope they can solve that because the place is really nice.

I could never put into words how incredible this house and area are. This was our favorite place to stay- the house is gorgeous and such a beautiful place to relax. The view is absolutely breathtaking! Pictures could never do it justice. Kristina was so quick to respond and check in/check out were very easy. They have really done an amazing job on making this such a peaceful place to escape to. Definitely book it if you are considering it! We will absolutely be back!

Traumhaus mit Meerblick

Wir (3 Paare) haben zwei sehr schöne Wochen in diesem in allen Bereichen hervorragend ausgestatteten Haus verbracht. Es ist sehr großzügig konzipiert, jedes Paar hatte seinen separaten Bereich mit eigenem großen Badezimmer. Es gab genügend Möglichkeiten sich zurückzuziehen, aber auch Räumlichkeiten für gemeinsames Spiel (z.B. Tischtennis und Billard in der Annexe, ebenso zwei große Fernseher. Auch der Außenbereich mit dem Pool, der windgeschützten Veranda, der Sitzecke mit Lounge-Möbeln und dem Grillplatz bietet bei gutem Wetter viele Möglichkeiten sich zu erholen bzw. sich zu beschäftigen. Leider war es Anfang März noch nicht so warm, dass wir alles nutzen konnten, aber es standen auch genügend Liegen zur Verfügung, auf denen man sich in geschützten Ecken sonnen konnte. Insgesamt ist der Standort des Hauses ideal für Tagesausflüge nach Lissabon, Sintra oder z.B. Obidos etc. Es gibt sehr viel zu sehen und zu erkunden in dieser Gegend. Ebenso bietet die Küste bei Ericeira einige Wanderwege auf den Klippen mit herrlicher Aussicht aufs Meer. Diesen Meerblick konnte man auch von jedem Zimmer des Hauses aus genießen. Die Betreuung durch die hilfsbereiten Besitzer des Hauses verlief sehr unkompliziert, Fragen wurden sofort beantwortet und "Probleme" zeitnah gelöst. Fazit: Eine sehr empfehlenswerte Unterkunft!!!

Why they chose this property

The view from the house is incredible with the sunset going down into the ocean. We have completely renovated the house during 2021 and 2022. The house now maintains the same high standard that we are used to from Sweden in terms of insulation, central heating, heated floors, warm pool, comfortable sheets, towels, etc.

What makes this property unique

Staying here is truly a 5 star experience!
