Beautiful location, beautiful home! The front door is a little tricky to work, and the hot water stopped working the last day but a part from that it was wonderful and breathtaking!

Staying in "The House on the Hill" adds such a unique and magical experience to being in the small medieval town of Polcenigo, Italy. The location and views are spectacular with many hiking trails, secret ruins in the forests, wildlife like fox, deer, elusive boar and birds, and outdoor rustic play equipment (perfect for adults) right near the house on the huge forested hill that only the occupants of this generational family have claim to. Outside terraces and yards are an extension of the home and a highlight, The interior and its furnishings are well cared for and have typical spaces of an Italian home. Giuseppe was a wonderful host and even brought us a toaster when we missed having toast for our morning breakfast. Communication was exceptional throughout our month long stay. We look forward to returning to this home when we next visit our Italian family.
Splendid, everything was fine in the house. Big, clean and with a fantastische view. A lott to do in the Area (climbing, fishing, cycling, nice restaurants. We Will come back !
The views were amazing. I cannot overstate this. The house is clean and beautiful. It has everything you need for a wonderful & comfortable stay, and clearly it was built for you to enjoy the view of the mountains and the centro of Polcenigo below. You don't even need a car to enjoy fantastic hiking or a walk into town for drinks and gelato. The homeowner provided thoughtful and helpful instructions. There are too many things we loved about the house to name them all, but I have to share that the swing on the olive tree in front of the house and the big table on the back porch were magical.

Thanks for the nice words! You discovered the swing on the olive tree… a lot of secrets have been confessed there!
