The space
The Wild Daisy sleeps 5 and forms part of a traditional stone built cottage which has been re-modelled into two unique dwellings. Accessed via a private entrance on the main street, the apartment has one king sized bedroom with wall mounted smart TV, a double bedroom with countryside views over to Weets Hill, kitchen with fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave and all crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils, dining area with table adjacent to the kitchen and a large bathroom with separate walk in shower. The huge loft space has been converted into a beautiful, spacious chill out room with 42" smart TV, DVD player, DVDs, books, games and amazing views over open countryside to Weets Hill which is only a 5 minute walk away. Also, in here you will find a dedicated work space and sofa bed.
Very rare for a property like this, is the huge South West facing garden and sun terrace that you have exclusive use of! The garden is located to the rear of the building and has no direct access from the apartment itself, however, it is only a 30 second walk away, and has everything in there you could possibly need: built in BBQ, dining area and a fully equipped summerhouse with fridge, microwave, kettle, crockery, glasses, utensils and cooking equipment! There is literally everything you need for outdoor living!
Things to do while you're here?
For those wanting a good walk - Barnoldswick is located right at the base of Weets Hill. The Leeds Liverpool canal also runs through the town and there is a host of cafes and pubs along the tow path in both directions. Greenberfield Locks is a great place to stop for light refreshments as is the Anchor Inn at Salterforth and further along the towpath at Foulridge you have The Wharfe - great food all day and live music on an evening. Barnoldswick is also only 30 mins from The Yorkshire Dales, 40 mins from the Yorkshire Three Peaks, an hour from the Forest of Bowland and an hour and a half from the Lake District.
In Barnoldswick town itself and neighbouring villages we have numerous eateries serving gourmet pub grub, Italian, Indian and Chinese food. There are also some great bars with a friendly atmosphere and an unrivalled live music scene for a small town. Skipton is also only 15mins away with it's Castle, narrow boat cruises, market and wide range of restaurants, bars, shops!
For those with children you can walk to The Green Playhouse or a short drive away we have The Pendle Sculpture Trail, Bolton Abbey, Hesketh Farm Park, Thornton Hall Farm and Billy Bobs Ice Cream Parlour!
Guests must request the following prior to arrival:
*use of sofa bed
