No facilities on site. A 15 minute drive into Castle Douglas. Perfect if you're just looking for nice walks and well needed rest. Would definitely recommend Cherry Lodge.

Just Wonderful

When we arrived, the lodge was spotlessly clean. It’s in a perfect location with wonderful views all around. Me and my wife would just sit and watch the horses trot by and the Red Kites loop around the sky. The Hot Blast trail is a great way to burn a few calories after breakfast and gives even better views from up around Neilson’s monument. We will definitely be back.

The lodge was exactly as described.

The lodge was exactly as described.Very clean and had everything we needed for our 4 night stay. Our only issue was the bed, there was springs digging into our body and the pillows were very flat. Other reviews had also mentioned this. The resident Dog Bob was very friendly and welcomed us back after a walk, he looked so excited to see us and get a cuddle.I'd definitely go back.
