The cottage is not only very pretty, it is warm and spacious.

The cottage is not only very pretty, it is warm and spacious. The large kitchen is very well equipped for cooking and eating. The lounges have comfortable chairs and sofas. The beds are comfortable too.There are no shops in the village but there are some nearby and two excellent cafes within walking distance. The village pub serves good food too.

The cottage is better in real life than the photographs. Great geographical central location for a meet up of 4 old uni friends from different parts of the country. Lovely walks from the front door. Good base to discover the area. Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful thatched cottage in a tranquil rural location.

Beautiful thatched cottage in a tranquil rural location. We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed walks from the cottage to Rutland water via Empingham, visited Oakham & Stamford for the day and had a lovely family meal at the Fox & Hounds pub which is the only pub/ restuarant in the village. Evenings were spent playing games around a roaring fire - perfect break for us (3 couples)

Overall a beautiful cottage with everything you needed.

Overall a beautiful cottage with everything you needed.Just some minor issues with heating and WiFi during stay.However the caretaker was brilliant and supportive.Just don't call owner as the number is out of country and cost me £20 for 3 mins call.Contact the caretaker instead (number in book) not the number on booking info.But overall would love to go back and explore the area more.Beautiful homely cottage.
