About this property

Sleep in a national monument!

't Wambuis is listed in the monument register. A beautiful home for six people, but can you imagine that this house was once inhabited by two large families? Until early in the last century, 't Wambuis was used as so-called 'poorhouses' for the Reformed church located across the street. Living there was cramped for two families, especially considering that the Hoorn fire engine was also stored there at the time. The exterior of the house is still completely intact and truly a sight to behold. The interior of the home has been fully restored and fitted with new furnishings that meet modern requirements.

The house is light and warm with a cozy interior. Very different from how the 'poorhouses' must have felt in the past. The open-plan kitchen offers all the comfort you need, including a cozy wood-burning stove. The living room is equipped with a curved smart LED TV. The three bedrooms have comfortable beds, and both bathrooms are equipped with a toilet and a rain shower. One of them even has a sunshower. So, a wonderful stay in this holiday home, where peace and comfort combined with the panoramic view form the basis for your holiday.
