Why they chose this property
Paul McAneary is an architect of note in the UK recognised for his distinctive minimalist style and bespoke made on site special features
the homeowner and Paul are friends and they asked Paul to create a unique space for them within this Georgian Building
This is the only small apartment Paul has done as his work is usually large scale commercial building and latterly residential houses and grounds
Designed using Marine Architecture principals and methodology this is a rare example of cross discipline practise and is one of a handful that exist in the UK
The idea came from the history of the house as it was built for ship merchant back in 1820 to 1840's
