Casa Cavalli is a very nice apartment located in one of the characteristic historical alleys of Fiumelatte, a hamlet of the famous Varenna which is only 1 km away but far from the noisy center of Varenna.
The structure welcomes the guest in a warm atmosphere with a unique style with the stone floor of the living area and the wooden furniture that give the apartment a refined style embellished by some elements of furniture created by hand by the owners.
The living area has a comfortable sofa where you can relax after a day spent exploring the wonderful area of Lake Como, satellite TV and WIFI, as well as a fully equipped kitchenette with a peninsula where you can savor excellent Italian cuisine. On the first floor there is also the complete bathroom with shower, bidet, sink and toilet
Upstairs, reachable via an internal staircase, are the master bedroom with furnished balcony, and a second bedroom with two single beds, all furnished with great taste.
Casa Cavalli is equipped with every comfort: free wi-fi, flat screen TV, iron and ironing board, microwave, toaster, kettle, cooking utensils, etc.
The apartment is located just 5 minutes on foot from the Fiumelatte railway station and 10 minutes on foot from the center of Varenna, which can be reached via the path north of the main road with breathtaking views, or via the main road that runs along the lake

A lovely and stylish place
Very stylish apartment, all necessary appliances are there. We were impressed on how well the design was thought through and how everything fit into the historical building.
Great quiet location - 15-30 minute walk to Varenna, and one can choose to walk a longer mountain pass with gorgeous views on lake Como or a shorter pass along the road. Nice hiking routes nearby. There is a small beach just a minute away. Train station is just 5 minutes walk.
Customer service was exceptional.
Overall, highly recommend.

Super small bathroom, cobwebs everywhere, bad odor
The bathroom is very tiny and hard to do anything such as washing your hair, combing your hair etc.
There were cobwebs all over the ceiling of the bathroom (including in the shower) all of which is quite low so it was not cleaned properly.
The entire unit smelled like someone had been smoking cigarettes and there was a bad odor in the bedroom.
It advertises free parking but it is only free parking overnight. We got a ticket because that wasn’t mentioned but thankfully the host agreed to pay for half of the parking ticket.
They also sent someone to clean the cobwebs but there was still many cobwebs after the cleaning was done and nothing could be done about the smell.
Not worth the money paid.

Hello Gurleen, we are bit disappointed by your comments. The bathroom is shown in the pictures, so if was too small for your needs you had the possibility to knew it. The house has not a private parking and in fact it is not indicated in the announcement, we don't know where you read this information. Also, we always clean the accomodation with care before every check, since it was warm there were probably insects around, including spiders. As you said also after the extra cleaning some new cobwebs appeared, so it not because of the unmade cleaning works, unfortunately as you know we can't control insects.
