The property is conveniently located between Downtown Raleigh and Downtown Durham which makes it close to a few popular destinations that many of our guests are interested in. RDU Airport - 7 miles / NC State Fairgrounds - 9 miles / NC State Univ. - 9.5 miles Duke/Hospital - 17 miles / Downtown Raleigh - 10 miles / Research Triangle Park - 12 miles UNC - 22 miles / Downtown Durham - 15 miles / WRAL Soccer Field - 10 miles

Lake Lynn Park is only a mile away. With a 2.5 mile trail around the lake, tennis courts and play ground. Getting outdoors for a little exercise is just down the road.
We meet all our guests upon arrival. If you have a late arrival (after 9pm) we will meet up the next day at your convenience. With amenities such as the pool, hot tub and fire pit there are a few important operational details we need to share with you.
We do allow up to 2 dogs 60 lbs. or less. (dogs only! NO CATS!) There is a $150 fee and must be included on your reservation. They must have a current rabies vaccination, crate trained and well behaved. We provide a very large crate with bedding, dog bowls, covers on the sofa, waterproof dog blankets for them to lay on and a "Soggy Doggie" towel for drying wet paws. They are not allowed on beds. Your fur baby must be freshly groomed and nails trimmed prior to entering the house. They must not be left alone in the house, screened in porch or yard. If you need to leave them alone, they must be in the crate. They are not allowed in the pool. We do have a kiddie pool that can set up if they love water. As beautiful as the house is, it is a strange place to them. Please respect our rules so we can continue to offer this to other guests.

Check-out instructions

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Gather used towels
Remove personal items and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Close all window shades.
Put used robes, throw blankets and towels to the laundry area.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
All dishes must be cleaned and all trash and recycling must be taken out to bins before checking out. Both bins to be rolled to the road on Sunday
No more than 5 people in hot tub at once. Close lid when not in use. If under 12 must be accompanied by an adult, under 16 supervised. No horse play.
No extra overnight guests. Failure to comply will be a loss of deposit. Let us know of visiting guests and how many. Report damage & nonworking items.

We had a delightful time in Raleigh! Susan and Rob were fantastic hosts. The house is beautiful, clean, and well-stocked for any cooking or relaxing needs you might have. Our favorite spots were the screened in porch and the fire pit. I would book this place again in a heartbeat.

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful home for our family spring break getaway! The weather couldn’t have been more perfect, and we truly took advantage of all the outdoor amenities. From the pool and hot tub to the fire pit and screened-in porch, there was something for everyone—from the littlest kids to the grandparents.We loved how well-equipped the home was for cooking and gathering. We ended up enjoying every meal at the house—big breakfasts, grilled lunches and dinners, and even a fun treat of Uber Eats açaí bowls one day.The location was perfect for exploring the area. This was one of the best outfitted houses we have ever stayed at. The owners obviously love the property and take pains to provide everything you could possibly want and more! They even set a fire for us in the fire pit, ready to go. The hot tub was clean and worked well. If we go back to Raleigh with family we would definitely stay there again!

The property is beautiful. The house is as pictured and described in the listing. We had never had a host meet us for check in. So, that was a surprise. After a 9 hour drive, I wasn't ready to meet new people. The extras in the house were a nice surprise. The house feels more like a home instead of just a house.

We enjoy healthy cooking, gardening, our dogs (Hungarian Kuvasz), traveling when we can, hosting you and Hurricanes Hockey! We are scuba divers and love sailing. I am a stained glass artist and Rob loves to play tennis and pickle ball. We are both certified dog therapy teams. We loved Europe, Alaska and the Caribbean Islands; and someday look forward to traveling to Australia, Asia and Bora Bora.

Why they chose this property

The house is very highly rated, private, quiet and convenient to RDU airport, RTP, NCSU, UNC, Duke, downtown Raleigh & Durham, shopping, parks, NC Museum of Art and some great restaurants to name a few things. Raleigh is a great area with always something going on. We are just four hours away from the Blue Ridge Mountains on one side and two hours from the beaches on the other side. We look forward to hearing from you.

What makes this property unique

We have equipped it with pretty much anything you could possibly need for a delightful stay. The outdoor space is so relaxing, with its bubbling fountain, screened porch, fire pit, hot tub and pool...there’s no need to leave. Living only 10 minutes away makes it very easy for us to quickly take care of any issues that may inhibit your most relaxing experience.
