Comfortably furnished, it is the ideal property for a small family or group of friends looking for a pet-friendly base where you can relax and enjoy this beautiful rural area. Also on the ground floor is the well-equipped kitchen and a shower room with a powerful rain shower, whilst upstairs there is a further bathroom and large bedrooms, two of which have lovely sea views.
Rockcliffe is one of the most popular holiday destinations in Dumfries and Galloway. The proximity of the beach and the secluded garden to the front make this a great location to either relax or to explore the local countryside. The nearby village of Kippford, the sailing centre for the southwest, has two pubs both serving food and there is a delightful walk between Rockcliffe and Kippford along the Jubilee Path through land owned by the National Trust for Scotland. Golf courses abound in the area and the local stage of the 7Stanes Mountain Bike Network is within a 15-minute drive of the house, with another stage at Mabie Forest, about half an hour by car. Rockcliffe bathing beach where you can also launch small boats and canoes is 100 yards from the front door.

The cottage was as expected .
The cottage was as expected . Very well equipped with new appliances etc . Huge utility room made up for tiny kitchen . Beds had good mattresses . Good blackout curtains which is rare .Parking was as described and was a pain but car park is free and lots of room . We were too hot as the downstairs heating couldn't be turned off and it was unexpected hot weather . Had to leave the upstairs windows open . Loved the character of the cottage and the fact that I could walk to a bench by the sea with my morning coffee. Really good value for money . Loved it !!!
