Our house is the oldest in the area (or second oldest!). All the restoration work that has been done was carefully designed to provide guests with all the necessary modern-day comforts, but at the same time preserve the house’s original aesthetic and feel. Stone and ochre-painted walls, wooden ceilings, and curious items dating from times past – all aim to recreate the house’s warm and hospitable atmosphere that attracted all those people back in the day.
There are three double bedrooms – one in what used to be the cellar, one on the ground floor, and one in the upstairs loft. The kitchen is fully supplied with new and quality equipment for you to prepare your favorite meals (or enjoy home-cooked takeaways from the nearby restaurant, a few steps away from the house).
There are two different sitting rooms for relaxing, as well as an area perfect for remote working or studying.
The house has got two bathrooms (both have a shower).
In the courtyard there is a wood oven, so get ready to cook with friends and family (You don’t know how to use one? What a perfect time to learn!). Notice the large terracotta pots (now used as decorative props, but once filled with olive oil, grains, or traditional “raki”), as well as the millstone used to grind olives and produce oil.
Finally, the swimming pool, perfect for those hot summer days. Relax on the sunbeds and take in the sounds and smells of Melidoni (don’t be surprised if you catch a whiff of Christina’s delicious cooking from Carob and Olive!).
