Premium King/Twin Ensuite

Our premium double rooms offer a comfortable super-king or 2 single beds.

In-room features include flat screen TV, wardrobe/closet, minifridge and tea and coffee making facilities.

The ensuite offers a shower, toilet, towels and complimentary toiletries (one does come with a bath). Hair dryers are available on request.
Recently upgraded with new beds and freshly decorated, the Royal Ashton Hotel is in the heart of Taunton, just a short five minute walk from the train station, Somerset County Cricket ground and the town centre.

The hotel provides comfortable accommodation at great value starting with single and double rooms with access to communal kitchens, as well as a 2 bedroom self-contained flat at the rear of the hotel.

Surrounding Taunton, you can discover the delights of the Somerset countryside. With the Quantocks, Exmoor, Mendips, Somerset Levels and Blackdown Hills, there is ample choice to keep keen hikers, explorers and cyclists entertained.

This locally run hotel provided an oasis after a full day of sightseeing. We received a warm welcome and were pleased at the bright clean spacious room that had all we needed. The laundry service was a welcome surprise!!

The fridge in our room was real bonus. Nearby use of microwave and toaster was icing on the cake! Great comfortable bed and as we travelled by train bus stop outside the hotel door was super for going to town centre.

Quiet, even though the room was downstairs. The bed was comfortable and there was a good supply of tea/coffee. The door to the bathroom needs attention. It does not close easily, and when fully closed, it was extremely difficult to open it. The shower temperature was variable. The design of the bathroom needs attention.
