The situation of the property was excellent, being in the old town close to the cathedral and the Roman sites of interest. My only problem was with the shower. I think a more modern user-friendly one would enhance the property.

Although very clean, tidy and conveniently located, the apartment is rather timeworn and dark with only 2 small windows. The narrow steep stairwell up to the third floor plus more stairs up to the bedroom and a few more stairs to the terrace and wash machine were difficult and tiresome. Many shops and several grocery stores nearby.

Tarragona apartment with terrace

The apartment on Carrer Major was perfectly placed within the old town and benefitted from a terrace. We ate breakfast on the terrace and read books in the late afternoon. The apartment had everything we needed including a fast wifi and access to a number of television channels. Be warned that there are 50+ steps to negotiate but this did not put us off.
