Perfect Cotswolds launchpad

Tony, our contact, was helpful and accommodating from the start. Wine, beer, jam and dog treats made us feel right at home. The property was very well provisioned and clean and tidy. Would definitely stay again if the opportunity were to arise.

Alovely place to stay

The Old School House was a very comfortable and convenient place to stay. Tony the owner was so helpful and the welcome treats were really appreciated. It's in a great location - quiet but just a short walk from all the delights of Stow and with parking too. We will return.

Excellent location

A lovely old school house converted. We had the end apartment which had off street parking ( rare around this location) . The place it's self was excellent. Great living room and fully equipped kitchen. Open plan mezzanine bedroom with storage room. And every accessory at hand, ie 2 large fans which we definitely needed. Large double bed and bathroom. My only negative about the whole place is I'm 6 foot 5 tall and the entrance to the upstairs bathroom is quite low, but I managed. Excellent location for all the local villages and places to see. Will definitely be booking this place again in the future.

The Old School House was in a good location, five minutes walk from the village centre. The apartment was clean, comfortable and well equipped, no surprises on arrival (apart from the bottle of wine!). Host Tony was very attentive and helpful. Would thoroughly recommend.

Weekend in The Old School House

Our stay in The Old School House was perfect for our weekend to reset to the time zone coming from Australia. It is a cosy space with a functional kitchen and comfortable bed. The property is well located in a quiet street around the corner from the centre of town and the parking space is very handy.

The School house was easy to find and excellent off road parking. We arrived early and managed to get in ! The accommodation was ideal for our needs within easy walk to Stow main streets. The bed was really comfortable which is always a bonus ! We didn’t cook but there was all the equipment if needed. A thoughtful welcome package too Would return if we decided to visit the Cotswolds again .

A comfortable and relaxed stay

We had a lovely stay at The Old School House. The place was very clean and quiet. Perfect for a few days stay in the Cotswolds. There were lots of nice little touches throughout the house to make you feel comfortable and special. Everything you could need was provided in the kitchen and bathroom. So nice to have a variety of cooking utensils and cutlery, rather than two of everything because only two people were staying. The Old School House was a perfect location for Stow on the Wold as well as other lovely locations in the surrounding area. It was great to be able to bring our little dog too. Tony was very helpful and only too happy to help. We would definitely stay again.

Very much enjoyed our stay in this beautiful property. So close to the centre of Stow yet quiet and peaceful. Everything you need is supplied and a garden and parking literally outside the door too. Tony was extremely helpful and friendly and kindly offered flexibility with check in and check out times. Thank you for the treats - most generous. Thoroughly recommended.

Great location, lovely accommodation and host's personal touches

Great location and lovely accommodation. And Tony was an exceptional host. He provided a personal touch by reaching out before our arrival to share local recommendations, which were incredibly helpful in planning our activities during the stay. And then upon our arrival, we were welcomed with a warm gesture – a thoughtful surprise that included dog treats, biscuits, and beers/wine in the fridge. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation in the Cotswolds.

Lovely Cottage

Lovely cottage in a brilliant location. Cottage has everything required for a break away. Even included birthday cake and fizz which was a very thoughtful touch. Little treats and extras were a delight. Recommendations - Sunday lunch at Sheep on Sheep Street; Blenheim Palace; Stratford. Accommodation above on a couple of evenings was a tad noisy with late night music. Would definitely return to the cottage and use the company again. Thank you for an amazing week.

Lovely Cotswold cottage

I would recommend staying at the Old School House in Stow, it was very comfortable and cosy, and also very well equipped. It was in an ideal location being near enough to the town centre, with everything in walking distance, but also on a very quiet street. The owner texted us before we arrived and was available by phone if there were any problems or queries which is always reassuring. A goodie bag was waiting on our arrival, with wine, biscuits, milk and doggy treats, which was a very nice touch.

Great cottage in fantastic Stow location.

I had a midweek stay in April , cancellation of racing by Cheltenham racecourse changed my visit into a walking break instead of a racing one !. The Old School House is full of character, quirky (in a nice way), well equiped and very comfortable and on top of that it is in a fantastic position. To find a lovely cottage like this in a quiet position within strolling distance of Stow town centre and with off road parking is a rarity, and something to really appreciate if you are visiting in high season. Stow itself is great, with many independent shops , superb coffee shops and a good selection of pubs and restaurants as well as a choice of takeaways plus some really good walks in the surrounding countryside. It was refreshing to stay in a property with everything you could need in the kitchen and bathroom , so no need for a last minute dash to the shop for essentials plus Tony (very helpful with great communication) had supplied a very nice welcome pack. I will surely return to this lovely property.
