our two nights in buxton in the "buxton suite".
from first application to the docs being sent to confirm and conclude invoice was so easy ,any queries i had were quickly and safely dealt with inc the entry instructions within 3 days of arrival..as ive been before it was fairly easy to find and i knew there was a supermarket on the way in so we could gather food and drink for our stay ,,
entry was easy and as soon as we entered the place was clean and tidy the bedrooms superb and the brass bath in the front bedroom was so good nice and deep ,there was another bedroom of which we used as we wanted to have that little bit more privacy for sleeping ...
the toilet with extra bath and shower was nicely styled and the touch screen mirror with light was a nice touch ...the small cupboard held cleaning things iron and board and a small clothing horse ..the kitchen /livingroom was very spacious and the concertina doors looked out on to the back area where a hottub a table with fire centre piece couldve been used but it wasnt used but looked lovely enough to just sit at outside and have breakfast and coffee snacks in the afternoon and it was just nice to sit and we listened to the birds singing and the rustling of the trees which was ever so peaceful
the living room skylight windows is a lovely feature and draws in the best of the light into the room, lighting decor was nice under kitchen surfaces and also along and round the skylight above which actually was bright in the late hours apart from that the place was amazing ...
there is lots of info about events and features in buxton ,,you must have a go on the mini railway it was so good what with the hot warm weather, you gotta let the inner child inside you out sometimes dont you ?
and also a sports car display in the centre and round the park ,,there are quite a few coffee shops and small gift shops, its a nice busy wee town and was really a nice pleasant place to be in ,we did like the visitors gift shops,we noticed these had different gift ideas and other items ..the town centre is just about a mile away so no need to take the car at all .. there is lots to see more than you expect as well,,what i (as a scotsman ) noticed was that the georgian style buildings remind me of edinburghs own georgian style buildings around the toon and was really impress by just how cleaner and in better"nick" than they are in auld reekie (edinburgh) lol ...
we left totally relaxed and ready to head back but in a way wished wed had more time staying there a few more days but alas work beckons as it always does
