This is NOT A REAL LISTING!!! PLEASE REMOVE! This is a scam. We arrived at the location and waited for a very long time. People from the neighborhood finally told us that there is NO rental at that property and they have had to tell several others! DO NOT sign up for this property.

It's a SCAM!! We had to get a hotel instead

Up until the day we were supposed to check in, Laura was communicating with us intermittently. When we arrived in Amsterdam, we texted her over Vrbo just like we had been doing to let her know we arrived, so we could meet her and get the key. NO RESPONSE. After an hour of waiting outside, getting no resposne from Laura, we called Vrbo. They were a great help, and got us a hotel for our trip. We had to stay in a hotel for the whole trip because WE NEVER HEARD BACK FROM LAURA.While trying to figure out what happened with Laura, we went across the street to a hotel and asked about Laura. They owner of the hotel said "Oh, that's a scam. We've had multiple people come stay with us because they can't get in contact with Laura to check-in."Vrbo, you need to shut this account down so others don't get scammed, too!!

Gastgeberin untergetaucht

Ohne vorherige Nachricht kam die vermeintliche Gastgeberin einfach nicht zur Schlüsselübergabe, war nicht mehr erreichbar und wir standen mit Gepäck und ohne Unterkunft mitten in Amsterdam. Ein großer Dank geht an die Mitarbeiter*innen von VRBO, die für uns sofort erreichbar waren und umgehend die Erstattung der Unterkunftskosten veranlassten. Es wurde im Nachhinein sogar die Differenz zwischen der ursprünglich gebuchten Wohnung und dem dann spontan gesuchten Hotel übernommen- auch wenn innerhalb dieses Budgets wirklich nur eine absolut minimalistische Unterbringung möglich war.

ACHTUNG BETRUG!

Leider war das Angebot ein Betrug einer Person, die sich Laura nennt. Sie hat die Wohnung einer anderen Person als ihre ausgegeben. Wir waren in diesem Jahr bereits mindestens die fünfte Gruppe, die über verschiedene Portale diese Wohnung "gebucht" hatte.Zum Glück war die Kommunikation mir fewo-direkt sehr gut, so dass wir nicht nur umgehend das Geld zurückbekamen, sondern auch beim Finden einer neuen (teureren) Unterkunft finanzell unterstützt wurden.
