About this property

QUEENS GATE, KENSINGTON -Stylish 2 bed, 2 bath apartment with patio, and a study

Royal Heritage 2BD/2BA Queen’s Gate Residence + Conservatory. Positioned directly opposite the Natural History Museum and moments from the Victoria and Albert Museum, Hyde Park, and the Royal Albert Hall, placing London’s cultural landmarks within effortless reach

Area description: The Crown’s Jewell - Set along Queen’s Gate—one of South Kensington’s most distinguished addresses, originally conceived for Queen Victoria’s processions to nearby Kensington Palace and still used today by the King—this grand flat offers a rare expression of heritage and scale in the heart of the city. Once owned by the Crown, the residence carries a quiet sense of provenance, thoughtfully reimagined for contemporary living while preserving the elegance of its past.

Tube: South Kensington Underground Station and Gloucester Road Underground Station provide seamless connections across the city. The nearest station is Gloucester Road just 3 minutes walking.

Accommodation: A private entrance leads into the Long Gallery, an architectural introduction that immediately establishes volume and proportion. Beyond, the living spaces unfold with ease—defined by high ceilings, expansive rooms, and a considered interplay of classic detail and modern refinement. The open-plan kitchen and living area suits understated entertaining or more relaxed moments, anchored by curated artwork and a discreetly integrated entertainment setup. Both bedrooms are positioned at the rear of the home, offering a level of calm rarely found in such a central setting. The principal suite extends into a glass conservatory—a serene, light-filled space that transitions effortlessly between a private office, yoga studio, or a place of quiet retreat. There are two bathrooms, each with its own personality. One leans spa-like, with a spacious walk-in shower and built-in bench—ideal for a quick reset or a slower start to the day. The other is anchored by a deep, oversized bath, lending itself to slower, more indulgent rituals. Positioned directly opposite the Natural History Museum, and moments from the Victoria and Albert Museum, Hyde Park, and the Royal Albert Hall, the address places London’s cultural landmarks within effortless reach. South Kensington Underground Station and Gloucester Road Underground Station provide seamless connections across the city. Despite its position along a historic royal route, the flat remains notably tranquil—offering a rare balance of privacy, scale, and location in one of London’s most sought-after neighbourhoods. A home shaped by history, designed for modern living, and set along a route still fit for royalty.

Decoration: Neutrally decorated throughout.

Reception description: Well-lit and spacious living room with plush sofas, stunning wood floor, TV, and a choice selection of beautiful handpicked memorabilia.

Kitchen description: The kitchen is open plan to the dining room and equipped with modern appliances such as a hob/oven, microwave, dishwasher, and newlt installed fridge freezer (2026)

Bedrooms description: Both bedrooms are a very good size with the master bedroom located towards the rear of the building, down a very expansive and well-lit hallway, with King size bed and excellent storage space. This room leads out onto a small patio area and connecting conservatory that can be used as a study. The second bedroom has a UK super-king bed (6ft wide) which can also be configured as TWIN SINGLE BEDS. This is also a very large room with excellent wardrobe space, a chest of drawers, and a TV.

Bathrooms description: Both bathrooms are located next to the bedrooms. The master bathroom has a bath, rain head shower unit, heated towel rail, wash basin, and toilet. The second bathroom has an American size shower, wash basin, and toilet.

Why they chose this property

Kensington is one of the most visited parts of London, and for good reason: it’s home to the Natural History, Science, and V&A museums. The main thoroughfare, Exhibition Road, is a lively and fitting route past the iconic institutions, up to Hyde Park and the Albert Memorial. There’s architectural splendour at nearly every turn, from the florid Italianate Brompton Oratory Catholic church to the iconic Royal Albert Hall. This distinctly elegant part of the capital also has a strong French accent thanks to the nearby Lycée Français and Institut Français, plus a sizeable student population (the Royal College of Art, Royal College of Music, Imperial College, and numerous language schools are all here) and lots of embassies. There are restaurants and hotels galore too, plus a self-styled 'design quarter' with a cluster of high-end shops.
