Old style charm in an updated house provided a wonderful way to enjoy some newfoundland scenery. Owner was great to communicate with, quick to respond and offered extra tourist advice.
We had an amazing time! An amazing view! A property manager who looked after us well and an owner with a big heart! We would have no problems staying again…perfect location close to family! Thank you for making our stay a home away from home!

Beautiful property along the water with amazing views of waves rolling in. House is quiet and comfortable with everything we needed for our weekend stay. Cleaning could have been better but we were able to sort this ourselves.
This salt box style house is located just 1.5 hours from St John's and is set in the most amazing location. We were able to swim in the inlet, walk to the beach, explore mistaken point, eat a lovely meal in tenessey and enjoy glorious sunsets, sunrises and the milkyway. All without having to leave our two dogs behind.
Our family was able to reconnect and bond. Loved it!

Great location, comfortable home, responsive owner
This was our first visit to Newfoundland and really enjoyed staying in this home. The property is in a great location sitting directly on Holyrood Pond, right off the Irish Loop. The ocean is a short walk or 1 minute drive just behind the house. Heather provides everything you need for a comfortable, relaxing stay, provides local information and is immediately responsive with any questions. Washer and dryer on site was a plus for our week long stay. Relaxing on the deck or in the sunroom on rainy days was very enjoyable. If we're lucky enough to visit again, we would definitely stay here again.
We enjoyed the accommodations although the days we were there it was very foggy and we were unable to look for whales at the beach. No tv available but we did not miss it as we used our laptop and the internet was very good. Thanks for sharing your home it was very comfortable.
Nice place tucked away just off the beach perfect for fishing having pond frontage.nice sandy beaches in each community. The locals are the nicest friendliest people you’ll every meet. I’am from the city so the peace and quiet out here makes it that much more appealing.overall experience I’d grade an (A)
The property was beautiful, clean, and well maintained. Heather was beyond helpful and friendly, and always addressed any messages promptly. I am overwhelmed by the kindness and friendlyness of our neighbors. I could not have been more happy with our stay!
The beds were sinking in the middle .. only a few windows opened upstairs and the rest had no screen
There was a fair bit wrong with this property ..
All the beds were old and slumping in the middle.
There was furniture thrown behind the home as garbage and no tv… we left after 1 night .
We had booked for 3 nights. Never again!
Private location in a quaint community. Old-fashioned NL home with a beautiful sunroom and outdoor fire pit. Lots of beach to explore. Very friendly locals. Nearest convenience store and gas station are about 15-20 minutes drive away.
We stayed here for two nights with a family of four and we all had a great time. Recommended for an outport getaway.
This cottage is truly a gem. Tucked away at the end of a lane, right on the water in beautiful Saint Vincent’s. The cottage sits right on Holyrood Pond, with the ocean so close by you can hear the waves rolling at night.
There is plenty of space, room to spare even with our family of five staying over the weekend. Heather was quick to respond to any questions we had.
Thank you Heather for making our stay so pleasant! This cottage truly feels like home.
Spent two nights at the property—one with friends and two granddaughters and the second with just our friends. The weather was comfortable but with some overcast and fog. Unfortunately the whales did not appear, but we had a good time anyway with wonderful strolls along the beach. The property itself seemed very
old but cosy and for the most part comfortable. The kitchen was very good and the open dining area was well lit with windows and patio doors leading to a small sunroom, this was our focal point for
games and family time as well as for meals. We spent very little time
in the large living room area and were unsuccessful in getting any TV reception. The bathroom was spacious and the shower was fine. The beds should be the next place to spend money—new
mattresses would go a long way, All adults agreed the the narrow
stairs, the somewhat wavy upstairs floors, and squeak in the beds reminded us of sleepovers at our grandparents’ homes. The location on the water was quiet, peaceful, and gorgeous. The weather wasn’t fire pit weather and lights around the fire pit had some issues.
Overall—certainly worth a second visit.
