Enjoyable stay but a few negatives
This is a lovely and very comfortable suite. The best feature is the large balcony and the view. Kitchen was reasonably well appointed which made cooking at home easy. Other positives were a nice but modest-sized gym (although it does need a fan as it gets stuffy) and a lovely main floor lounge with happy hour. Also a sunny pool and deck for sunbathing and socializing which was fun.
As for negatives, which precluded us from giving this a 5-star recommendation: The customer service offered in the building was good, not exceptional, which was a little disappointing given the price. For example, internet service was down on three occasions and water supply off one time for several hours but there was not much empathy or support from the reception desk and no offer for compensation for the inconvenience. The bell hops seemed to want to be tipped for everything and got quite snippy if you didn't ... this is annoying when you are on vacation, not carrying around your wallet, and have paid a high price in the expectation of getting a high level of service in a "luxury" building. Only other negative was that it was not disclosed to us there is a lot of construction activity going on around this building (April 2019) so expect noise, banging, grinding, dust throughout the working day.
